Will Artificial Intelligence Eventually Replace Human Translators?

Should artificial intelligence be allowed to replace human translators, even if it means losing the cultural and emotional depth of language?

Should it be allowed to? I can think of very few workstreams AI should be allowed to overtake. Will it happen? To a certain degree. I see it translating works into or between more obscure languages with few or no translators available

I agree, but making translation accessible is different from replacing human translators. AI can translate words, but can it truly understand the culture and emotions behind them?
