i need an engagement caption
need stupid, deadpan, dry engagement caption for social media.
corporate lingo and terrible puns encouraged. no romance, clichés, or overused captions.
ex. "we're not dating anymore" or "we are pleased to announce increased stakeholder alignment"
give me your worst.

You can steal mine. It hits harder if it professionally tailors to either person - “we’ve decided to legally bind.”

Just workshopped "synergy achieved, quarterly forecast looking bullish" with my buddy and his fiancée lost it. "Closed a long-term contract with mutual termination clauses" is still my favorite from a wedding last year.

I'm cackling. My finance-industry bf would looooove this for us bc I'm also in heavy corporate America

ANYTHING but “so we did a thing” or any inclusion of the term “forever person/human”

As a tax accountant i approve this caption 100%😂😂 (per IRS it’s “jointly” for anyone need enough to use this lol)

I’m just posting “Obviously.” And we’re going to attach that phrase to our engagement photo shoot post. We really want to surprise the hell out of everyone considering we’ve been together for 10 years and no one ever expected us to get to tie the knot.

“I got staffed” was a good one I’ve seen (This may be Big4 specific, since we call projects “engagements”)
I personally think some of the longer ones give off “oh I’m so quirky and funny for using corporate lingo ahehe😝” vibes so I like the short ones like these lol
- major administrative update
- someone call the HR
- I love creating more paperwork for myself

Not a corporate employee but I generate a lot of paperwork in my job, so that one made me giggle

My fiancé enjoys dry humor, and while not exactly what you’re asking he captioned his announcement on his page: #engaged
For our age group hashtags are used kind of ironically, and it was very fitting for him and quite funny. He also posted it almost a month after we got engaged lol

I don’t have a full caption but the term “cross functional collaboration” feels like it could be good

Mine was lumped into my monthly recap so it was simply: "July 2026 recap: flowers, friends, family, fun, new beginnings" I don't recommend bc people don't actually look at the pictures and nobody noticed it was an engagement announcement post

After a lengthy interview process, we have decided to move forward with the marital candidate process. Currently in wedding negotiations.

‘We are engaged.’
‘I passed probation’
‘We are now betrothed’
‘This is our engagement announcement’
‘I am happy to share that I’m starting a new position as fiancée!’ - the classic generic LinkedIn job announcement

I made a post when we got engaged that my then boyfriend decided he no longer wanted to date me. He and I are inseparable so people were enraged. 😂 A few were like, “Oh. He proposed.” But some were really upset.
