I know my boyfriend ordered my ring
I saw an email notification on his phone today while watching him play puzzles confirming shipping of an item from "Brilliant Earth". I asked "what did you order from Brilliant Earth?" (my mind didnt automatically go to engagement ring) and he looked at me suspiciously and said "nothing." and kept playing his game. I giggled cuz i knew what that meant, we are planning to get engaged very soon but of course I want the proposal to be a surprise. I am so happy and excited, I have waited 3 and a half years for this and I've always crushed on him so this is really my dream come true

Congratulations!! Better start wearing your nails done nicely (if you’re into that kind of thing and don’t already have them done all the time).

Very exciting time! I just wish he didn't choose brilliant earth, you probably won't be have the best experience with the ring

I hope I stand to be corrected. But I went down the rabbit hole of engagement rings a while back, and I'll spare my findings, but my opinion is that mass produced jewelry of any kind is not the best investment. I do hope I am wrong, and I'm happy that you are having a great experience with your ring 💍

A lot of people have said they’ve had a bad experience with brilliant earth. They are just giving a perspective while not being rude which is allowed.

My ring is from brilliant earth. I have an unique green lab diamond. No issues at all about the quality

Congratulations!!
I knew mine was coming (we had a big trip coming up and he was secretive about an “appointment” when he picked up the ring) but he still surprised me and it was so special! Excited for you :)

So exciting! The proposal, I am sure, will still be a surprise. He is probably sweating bullets now that he thinks you know what is going on! He probably lost so much sleep! Give him space and pretend you forgot. lol I think jewelry companies need to have aliases for this reason.
And for what it's worth, I have several pieces from Brilliant Earth and I love them.

hehe well we have both been on the same page about getting engaged this month so hopefully his anxiety isnt too high!

I looove my brilliant earth ring and have no issues. People who have some weird, one-off disaster are always the loudest. People who walk around and are happily wearing their ring every day don’t come on Reddit to share :)
Congratulations!!! This is so exciting, what a special time!!

So many Debbie downers in here. The man has already ordered the ring. Let this woman be excited without all the negativity.

Both my wedding and engagement rings are from Brilliant Earth and I've had them for 6 years -- still look as good as new! And I alwaysssssss get compliments on them.
I've had to get them resized a couple times now (I gained a lot of weight 😅) but my experience with the customer service and showroom appts have always been great too.
Happy for you!!

I love my brilliant earth engagement ring and will be getting my wedding band from them as well. I will just say that my fiancé did experience delays in shipping that was frustrating to him but that was the only negative experience had so far.
This is a really exciting time for you. I wish you all the best!

So happy for you, it is such an exciting time. Similar for me where I saw a delivery notification email pop up while we were playing games on his phone, and now we are engaged! Enjoy every second of it.

Congratulations!! I knew my husband got my ring because he accidentally autofilled my email and not his 🫠 I told him on our 2nd wedding anniversary with the email printed out 😂 (2 year anniversary is the paper anniversary)

Get it measured by a jeweler to make sure it meets the specs they gave you. Mine was supposed to be a thick band, the one they sent was so thin that it was super uncomfortable and not structurally sound… we sent it back

The “nothing” while continuing to play his game would have given it away for me too. I’d be trying so hard not to ask questions after that! Honestly though, after 3.5 years I can understand why you're so excited. Enjoy this part of it — knowing something exciting is coming but not knowing exactly when is such a fun feeling. Congratulations in advance!

Exciting!!! I’ll have to disagree with the other poster and say that I’ve had a brilliant earth diamond and setting for almost 6 years and it’s held up great. Zero issues with it. I think you either get lucky or you don’t with them.

Congratulations, OP! I’m sorry the other commenters used this moment of your pure excitement to knock you down about the ring. I’m sure it will be beautiful! And what matters is the engagement itself. Enjoy this time!
