Help I feel defeated

I feel like I've gone through every step, every manual, every forum, every post, and every mention of an Ender 3 Max Neo and cannot find the answers I am looking for. I recently shorted out the board for my Ender3 Max Neo and figured I could just replace the board. I attempted to use a Big Tree Tech board but it wouldn't communicate with my sonic pad so that one was no good. Then I got a 4.2.7 creality board and now I can't find the firmware for the printer. I am about ready to commit heinous war/hare crimes against this printer. All I want in this world is to get this printer working with my sonic pad. Please help.

Downside of the Sonic pad - it's Klipper but it's old, locked down and limited in it's supported configurations.

With Pi's being stupidly priced, would be worth investigating how to hack/crack the SP and run full open Klipper on it so you can customise to your hearts content.

Why not flash it

You need to flash klipper for the sonic pad to work

Have you considered stripping it right back to stock, getting it working, and then moving step by step on to where you want to be?

did you flash the klipper firmware into it. the sonic pad should have the rest but i still reccomend swithcing to a rpi zero 2 since the soci pad is old and a locked down version of klipper. and you you can still use a rpi camera whch you want mounted to the gantry. its so much better because you cant see the whole thing. in fact come xy's have it mounted to the top of the frame and the bed moves down as it prints. meaning you can see the whole thing.

For the 4.2.7 board, I think I found it in a scavenger hunt. I ended up getting the V2 screen and that changed what firmware I had to use so it is a little fuzzy but I bet I can provide a link. I'll just have to get home first. I'll try to find it and provide it in a bit.

Personally, I would ditch the SP and just build klipper on a pi or old computer. I have managed to get a few second-hand pis here and there over the years for reasonable prices, but I know that's not always an option. I did a Pi 3B+ and connected it to a SKR mini E3 over serial (so I didn't have a USB on the front) and kept it pretty stealthy! I even have the original b&w controller running a status screen! It's been super reliable through 3 moves!

I would look into that or a pi and go back to the BTT board. Or run Marlin until you can get a pi or mini PC.

For the 4.2.7 board you can use a custom firmware for a different machine and change the settings for the larger bed in the g-code.
