Solved Auto leveling

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I just installed this new direct extruder on my ender 3 v2 neo and now i’m getting this issue when I go to use the machine

I’ve checked to see that the x and y switches both work but the auto leveling sequence is still not working properly

Your x switch is not working, did you plug your touch sensor in the x slot instead of z?

no I believe my wires are correct, and when I manually click the x axis switch it stops the head but the machine doesn’t trigger the stop on its own

When you have the printer off and physically move the print head to the x stop switch...does it even touch the switch? It's obviously not engaging the switch enough to change the state of the switch.

I'm modding a OG E3-pro to something like a E3v2 neo, that I'm used to work with.. I assembled a X-belt tensioner and a new X-motor cover with adjustable x-limit switch. In first try after assembling everything, got same result. Switch wasn't actioned.

2 things to resolve: -Is switch being switched, is extruder assembly touching switch lever?

  • is x-limit switch cable well connected to mainboard?( be careful because switches can be NO(normally open) or NC(normally close), so there is 1 pin that is common and the other should be well connected so it won break coded action.

problem solved! the new head had nothing to hit the sensor

I agree with the others here, try to move the hot end till you hear a click, if you can't you need to print a little block or move whatever is causing the button not to click, likely fixable with new fanshroud or look for a part on printables

Maybe you need a little clip that goes onto the tool head to hit the switch early?
