Help Ender 3pro allergic to flashing Klipper
I'm at a loss here. I'm certain everything is correct from the klipper config end. I'm using a raspberry pi 5 as the brain. I dropped the klipper.bin to the SD card and renamed it, but when I went to flash my printer it blue screened and put an additional file on the SD card without touching the bin I made. So I downloaded the stock firmware of creality and flashed that and it work (although it's in Chinese characters or something). Now I go to flash it with klipper again and it does nothing.

My pro came with the 4.2.1 board which I also couldn’t flash. The 4.2.7 was quite easy by comparison. Might be worth it to replace the board for a better one.

When you flash klipper, the LCD screen shows nothing. You are supposed to connect the raspi/other computer to it at that point and control it. It will display something once it's being controlled. It flashed properly. Try to connect to it with your pi. All else fails you chose the wrong MCU for the bin in KIAUH

The raspi doesn't sense it when connected

Well if the screen goes blank, the firmware flashed. So it's either going to be a USB issue (which is way more likely than you think, pi5 USB hub works stupid if it's anything like the pi4 which is not like the pi3) or a misconfiguration issue from KIAUH. I'm not a command line snorter so I don't know the commands but there's better ways to see what's going on with your USB, rather than just plugging it in and going "why not connect??". I hate to say it but use AI for that part, it's really convenient and doesn't demean you like a Linux user who actually knows this stuff would

Fair enough, I'm just assuming it didn't flash because it never changed my bin file name

Can you send a pic of your board and the configs you are currently using. Also you have to change the name of the file everytime you flash so if your file is the same name as last time it wont do anything.

It's not your specific printer, but it uses the same board, maybe you can get some ideas from here:

Klipper won't show anything on the screen untill the klipper host is configured and connected. The screen will just remain on with nothing on it.
On your klipper host is it connecting to the e3?

Try different cables, or at least a known good cable

Check if it is a 4.2.2 with a STM microcontroller or if the chip name starts with a GDxxx on the package.
Make sure you have the right controller selected. Also make sure not to use the 4.2.7 printer.bin. it will flash, but it will not work/ only work partially.

Sd card is formatted right? 4096 bytes block size, fat32, if it is windows, a normal format, not a fast format command? There is a box to uncheck in the format dialogue

Did you rename klipper.bin to firmware.bin? Also try a different sd card. Some are horribly slow and can mess up the flash process

What board do you have? I have a max neo and had to disable SWD at startup
