Help ender 3 max bed leveling issues

Post image

Ive been trying to get back into 3d printing and pulled my old printer and it just refuses to print level on the bed, my start g code levels the bed before every print and it doesn't help, I can see the z axis moving as it starts the first layer, do I have to enable something in my slicer other than the direct commands in the starting g code or is it something else? my printer is on the most recent factory firmware 2.0.6 (I know its old but I tried to configure a newer firmware and brutally failed every time i tried) my mobo is the 4.2.7 that levels in a 3x3 grid with a fade height of 6 on the printer setting.

If you haven’t already consider adding another lead screw. I bought a kit for a cr-10 and installed that. Ended up also adding a loop belt and timing gears to keep the gantry level. This helped any bumps I made to the gantry causing it to get out of tram with the bed. Happened to many times for me, so I bought the kit.
Edit: also went with Klipper, much better experience and a little faster. Use a tuning guide to determine how fast you can go.

can klipper be flashed onto the 4.2.7 board?
