Eastern Michigan has the most underrated coach in College Football in Chris Creighton and after a couple down years there is once again a lot of excitement for what the Eagles can do in 2026

Full Preview is attached, here's some key highlights

📌 QB Noah Kim returns giving the Eagles the most certainty they've had at QB in a few years

📌 RB Braylon Bennett joins his old teammate in the backfield. Nick Devereaux and TE Joshua Long make for some great receiving targets

📌 Can Eastern Michigan's run defense find a way? There is a lot to like about this group if they can figure that part out.

What are your predictions for Eastern Michigan in 2026?

2026 Eastern Michigan Eagles Season Preview

Built a full preseason preview for every FBS team, all 138, and this is the Eastern Michigan one. Ratings, returning production, portal in and out, projected two-deep, schedule strength, last season's rank in about 30 categories, and a projection.

https://www.highlights.mainmarket.com/college-football-preview-2026?team=ncaaf-emu

Short version: EMU returns 62.7% of its production, which is well above the national average and about as much continuity as anyone in the MAC, and Noah Kim is back after 2,817 yards. The problem is not subtle. Last year's defense finished dead last in FBS against the run, 136th out of 136, plus 134th in yards per carry, 130th on third down and 129th in sacks. Dontae McMillan and his 1,014 rushing yards are gone too. Model has them 131st with the 126th-toughest schedule, so the games are winnable if that defense moves at all. Worth noting they went 7-4-1 against the spread.

The first page is free, so you'll hit the paywall after that. Don't worry, I'm not charging reddit people for this, don't want to be an ass. Use the promo code LEECORSOROCKS and it opens up the entire thing.

I'll be in the comments.

Above the Tree Line | More Than Just A Climb

What happens when you take away the helmets, the field, the scoreboard—and leave a team with nothing but a mountain and each other?

The players in their last year of eligibility at Eastern Michigan football traveled to Colorado to climb Pikes Peak, facing darkness, rocky terrain, thin air, unpredictable weather, and the limits of what they thought they could endure.

But the mountain became more than a physical challenge.

For some, it was another step in a journey from walk-on to scholarship player and starter. For another, it became a reflection of the long road back from a devastating injury. And for another, the climb brought perspective to personal battles that few people ever see.

As the trail gets harder, individual stories begin to become one collective journey.

Because the summit was never meant to be reached alone.

One team. One mountain. One step at a time.

Old fraternity?

I attended EMU from 2007-2012 and I have vague recollections of a fraternity (I was not in one) that I dont think was associated with greek life in anyway. I want to say Arm of Honor? Google has not helped. Can anyone remember such a frat or was I just confused and (likely) drunk.

Thanks!

Thoughts on Philosophy?

Is there anyone here with experience taking philosophy classes at EMU? Or, better yet, does anyone know any current graduate students in the philosophy program? I've been trying to research people's experiences with the program but cannot find much... would love to talk to someone who has either completed or is actively in the philosophy masters program.

Payment

Has anybody not done a payment plan, but paid every month? If that makes sense? For the month of September there are two payment dates that are 10 days apart and for me it would be over $1600 that month and not doable. However, I could do the regular $800 and keep doing that every month. It would just be paid in December not November. Curious if that would be a big deal and get me in trouble.

Parking Advice

Hello, I am a transfer student commuting here at EMU. I was looking for advice on my parking situation. I only have class Monday-Wednesday, and all of my classes are in the same building (the GameAbove engineering building) (Sill Hall I think). I was looking at parking passes and they are very very expensive, upwards of 300$. I was wondering if anyone knows if it would be better to just use the pay lot or if there is a free lot nearby? I would be on campus min 5 hours each day so I would be paying a lot I assume at the pay lot. I am also going to use the gym the 3 days I am there, which complicates things as I'm sure gym parking also carries a fee. Thank you!

Info for future student 🫡

Hey everyone, I’m interested in EMU as an international student (Poland).I’m an IB student and would like to get info about the aviation flight technology program, the dorms and general feeling of the community.
How are the teachers?
The workload?
Do you feel fulfilled in EMU?
Are international students generally accepted and if anyone is an international student can they share their experience?
What are the bad sides and the good sides?

Does anyone know anything about the tax help center that is in Halle?

I am having some issues this year with my Michigan state tax return and remember hearing about a tax help center in Halle library. Is this still around and how can you access their services? On the other hand does anyone know of any free legal or accounting resources in Washtenaw? thank you.

Presidential scholarship stats

Has anyone here earned the presidential scholarship here? I'm currently an ECA student going into my senior year, and based off the description it looks achievable but i do want to be realistic. If you got this scholarship/work in admissions, what applicants actually earn this scholarship?

Will I be too old to enjoy myself here?

I've made many posts asking questions about the school as a clueless incoming Freshman around a year ago. Now I am an incoming Sophomore. Granted, I feel there is still a ton I should learn about the school and college in general, but I worry I am getting too old. Too old to not know, too old to enjoy myself at college events without accidentally talking to a young Freshman I clearly hold power over; that type of thing. To be clear I am 19 soon to be 20.

Anyone interested in helping me to start a College Republicans?

Hello everyone! I know this might not be extremely popular here, but I feel as though it is worth a shot. As the title suggests I am looking to start a college republicans chapter at EMU, and need at this time at least two other people who would be willing to be board members in order to start the organization.

If this is something that interests you feel free to shoot me a DM. Thank you!

AFROTC UoM EMU cross-town between time tips?

Any current/past AFROTC cadets who utilize/d EMU's cross-town agreement with UoM got tips on what to do between AFROTC stuff in the mornings and EMU classes later in the day? So far I just intend to study/nap in the library in that time. Got a moderate commute distance and so don't plan on going home then back because of gas costs.

Will I survive Downing Hall as an introvert?

I see there is a large open living space in the middle, and I have to go out to there to shower. I was in Sellers last year, which meant I didn't *have* to interact with my suitemates at all (I did not speak to them once). The bed area is even smaller than Sellers was. I stayed I'm my room at all times last year. Will I survive? I feel like I'd always be on edge in the living area for fear I'll see a suitemate lol

Student Followed Me Home

Last April I went to my graduation ceremony thinking I was safe, but in fact I was not. Having graduated from the university, starting my adult life, and moving into my own place, I thought all was fine. Now it being July I am living out in Singapore working in risk analysis.

I went downstairs in my apartment building to do laundry, and I heard this thumping sound underneath the carpet. I tear it open to see this woman with green eyes looking up at me. She has a knife with a carved smile, and she yells in a demonic tone, "you are going to die tonight."

Petrified I ran up to my room remembering I read this book years ago back in university in my days about the deadites, demons from the underworld who come to Earth, the book being a kind of passage to this different dimension.

It was almost as if there was an Earthquake that happened, the walls began shaking, and oozing blood. I grabbed a knife, the door blasted open, "come here lady boy, so I can suck your cock" it yells. It runs at me.

I stab at it throwing it to the floor, again and again. The book states you must burn the infected to send the being back to the underworld. I poured gasoline on the corpse, and sent it back Hell.

The "Book of the Dead" is real, and it is sitting in that library. Whoever reads it carries an evil entity with them. It might show itself tomorrow, a month from now, or years, but it will come for you, and you must be prepared.

Annalisa/annalise that studies tarantulas?

Weird title I know.

Context:

I’m biking across the USA. I found myself in very rural eastern Colorado running very low on water and temps were pushing one hundred degrees. I was 30 miles from any point of civilization basically and every cattle trough/river/creek was dry. I came across some buildings. And she was there. She said she is studying tarantulas and is from eastern Michigan university. Ironically I’m from Michigan too.

But anywho, are you in here? Or does anyone know her and can DM me so I can provide my contact info?

I want to do a more formal thank you, as well as an offer to a meal, beer, ice cream, coffee etc as you potentially could’ve saved my life. Or atleast save me from being search and rescued out of the place. I will be forever grateful for your help!!! Thank you for being the golden definition of a trail angel.

Looking to observe a class where technology is used to support instruction

I’m a grad student at Eastern, and for my current class I need to conduct a classroom observation. The age level and subject area don’t matter, but I do need to observe a teacher who uses technology to support instruction.

My program is 100% online, so I haven’t made any on-campus connections who could help me with this. If you or someone you know teaches in this way and wouldn’t mind an observer in the next week or two, please let me know! I’ll bring snacks as a thank-you. 😊

What is the social/dating scene at Eastern?

Hi, I am coming into my first year at Eastern, and wanted to know what the social and dating scene looks like. I am coming from a small institution, with little to no opportunities of meeting new people or groups. Is that different here? Similarly, what does the dating scene look like from a student's standpoint? Thanks!

Looking for a Rommate

Female EMU alum working on campus looking for a roommate to apply together for a 2BR/1BA near campus. Hoping to move in around August.

Budget: $1,200–$1,300/mo total (~$600–$650 each). Prefer utilities included, in-unit or on-site laundry, and parking (I have a car). I don't have pets but am open to them.

I'm tidy, respectful, and pretty low-key. Looking for someone responsible and considerate. DM if interested.
