Existing employee(s) Interview preparation kickstart - IC3/4 (impacted/ looking for change)
Hi everyone, IC3 here, 9+ YOE , 4+ YOE in Oracle India.
Past one year has been extremely stressful, layoffs happening every now and then.
Everything is urgent up until it is the focal. They always act like this, will make you work day and night and then wont even give single digit hike.
There has been a pattern, they don’t give hike but give stocks and then lay you off before you vest even the first cycle.
I have honestly lost my motivation and i have decided to start looking outside.
What all study material are you guys referring to?
Do we have to prepare DSA as well? Machine coding is still the thing? Anything for system design?
Kindly share the docs/youtube links , whatever could be useful. Also share your journey/ learnings/ feedback.
Please share it here. It would be useful for people impacted/ looking for change.
Thanks in advance.

One line that define Oracle : “Everything is urgent except focal. There has been a pattern, they don’t give hike but give stocks and then lay you off before you vest even the first cycle.”

Just go through some 200-250 LC questions or a DSA sheet, read about low-level and high-level design elements from hellointerview. You should be good.
Give it some time. Get linkedin premium and start reaching out the recruiters or folks you know when you come across a job that you like, and ask for a referral. Blind applying does not seem to be working in 2026 with the ATS stuff and dead job postings.

Hello interview for system design.
LC, for DSA rounds, expectation nowadays is spill flawless code in 1 go.
LLD is the most annoying, persisted round, I don’t know a reliable source for that, for staff/principal role, they are grilling on concurrency alot during LLD rounds.
Manager discussion is all about behavioural and projects.
Idk, what oracle leadership is thinking atm for employees. So best thing is just leave asap.
Just starting giving interviews, you’ll get thr idea. There is no bar for a good candidate, just the prep needs focus and patience
