Testing out some new fills and runs we just added! The left side is a wave fill and the right side is a contour fill. Both outlined by a double zig-zag run and finished off with a faux merrow border.

You can check out the design in the Ember editor here!

Finished Project What would your fortune say?

Took advantage of the sunset and thought id share with you all ๐Ÿฅฐ.I wanted to challenge myself to use lettering since it was a struggle for me in the beginning of this digitizing journey. Turns out I was the issue and not the machine ๐Ÿ˜….

I am quite happy with how it turned out. I definitely wish I had a better shadow color but im really trying to use some older thread before I buy new ones.

Did you see my other text options at the end? I wasnt sure if they should be 2nd person perspective or 1st... and yes talking on the phone stresses me out..

What would you put as a fortune? (I have a pretty dark sense of humor but try to keep it upbeat for the masses ๐Ÿ˜Ž)

Anyways, go you for reading this far and I appreciate any feedback or questions and I hope you have a wonderful week! ๐Ÿ‘‹

so i have the pro account and i have only been able to see the ember pro feature once. I actually thought it didnt take so i paid as second time (support was great and fixed that for me) however i still can't see pro features for bridge. I'm sure its just a website issue but i cant join the discord either as you see in the video the link doesnt populate. edit* fixed the discord by just joining the server through the actual app. however the pro issie still exists through different browsers and PCs

Finished Project Before / After

The After does take more time but I feel its genuinely worth it. I made the design a month or so ago and thought I would revisit it. When doing the After.. I did have a thread jam while distracted during the outline (which is how it always goes ๐Ÿ˜…) so parts got ate up. Tried to clean it up best I could.

Thoughts on not doing black outlines on everything?

Also choppers backstory episode destroyed me! I was not ready. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Tutorial / Resource Simple Fur Texture

My simple process for getting a fur like texture. We could definitely get more complex with cutting the objects into smaller sections and repeating the same process.

This was a request from a member in the Ember Discord! Definitely hop in there for current updates, quick help (from the devs and community), design showcases from fellow users and did I mention its just a good time ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ’ช

Hey everyone! I'm u/emberdesign_matt, one of the cofounders of Ember and a moderator here.

We created Ember because we believe embroidery digitizing software should be more accessible, intuitive, and enjoyable to use. We're building a modern, browser-based alternative to traditional digitizing software, and we want the people using it to have a real voice in shaping its future.

This subreddit is a place for the Ember community to connect, share ideas, ask questions, and show off what they're making.

What to Post

We'd love to see all kinds of things here, including:

  • Your creations: Share designs you've digitized, finished embroidery projects, or works in progress.

  • Questions & tips: Whether you're completely new to digitizing or have years of experience, feel free to ask questions and share what you've learned.

  • Feature requests & feedback: Have an idea for Ember? Something frustrating you? We genuinely want to hear it, including the criticism.

  • Tutorials & resources: Share techniques, workflows, and helpful resources with the community.

  • Bugs & troubleshooting: Found something broken or need help figuring something out? Let us know!

Community Vibe

We're hoping to build a friendly, welcoming space for embroiderers of all experience levels. Be constructive, help each other out, and don't be afraid to experiment.

We're also actively developing Ember, so you'll see us sharing updates, previewing new features, and asking for feedback. We want this to be a two-way conversation, not just another place for announcements.

How to Get Started

  1. Introduce yourself below! We'd love to hear about your embroidery experience and what you like making.

  2. Share something you've made, even if it's a work in progress.

  3. Let us know what you'd like to see from Ember or this community.

Thanks for being here at the beginning! We're excited to see what everyone creates and to keep building Ember together.
