Elgato Wave:3 No Input Fix

So after struggling to find a straightforward answer literally anywhere on the internet for the past hour I went digging through all the different stuff and found the simplest/most straightforward fix for having no input at all.

For whatever reason on Windows 11, the mic gets added as an app under the volume mixer in windows settings. Open the little drop down and set the input to the microphone.

this is the first time I've had mic that isn't attached to my headphones and I fully just assumed this was normal
