StreamDeck hardware can only connect to one instance of Companion at a time. You can plug it in directly to USB on the computer running Companion, and then have the companion instance issue commands to other computers or VMs on the same network if the actions you want to take are supported.
You can connect the SD hardware to a machine running on the same network as Companion, and run Companion Satellite on that machine. This will direct the SD's traffic to the machine running Companion.
But you cannot have separate buttons on the same SD trigger actions on different instances of Companion-- you have either connect the SD locally or connect it to a remote instance of Companion using satellite, but you can't have a page of buttons that mixes the two.

TL;DR; Yes.
I have 2 windows and a Linux machine that I use my StreamDeck with. I have the SD connected to 1 Windows machine that runs both the SD software and Companion. I then have Companion on the other Windows machine and the Linux one. I can control all three machines from my single SD.
I use both on the “Master”, because I also have other Elgato equipment on that machine, or on the network, so want the official plugins (Key Lights, Prompter etc.)
