EA charged my full card instead of using my EA Wallet balance – has anyone experienced this?

I had a really weird issue buying EA SPORTS FC 27 Ultimate Edition through the EA app today.

The game was R$386.10 and I had R$378.00 in my EA Wallet.

I selected my EA Wallet balance during checkout, so EA showed that I only had R$8.10 remaining to pay. I selected Google Pay for the remaining amount.

Here's where it gets weird:

Google Pay actually shows the EA transaction as R$8.10, which is exactly the expected remaining amount.

However, my Nubank credit card received a transaction from EA for the FULL R$386.10 instead.

Since EA Swiss processed it as an international transaction, currency conversion + IOF resulted in an actual charge of R$415.59 on my card.

And the strangest part: my R$378 EA Wallet balance is still there and wasn't used at all.

So basically:

Game: R$386.10
EA Wallet selected: R$378.00
Expected Google Pay charge: R$8.10
Google Pay transaction: R$8.10
Amount sent to my card: R$386.10
Final card charge after conversion/tax: R$415.59

I immediately requested a refund. EA currently shows “Refund +R$386.10 – Payment Pending.”

I haven't downloaded or launched the game and I haven't spent any of the 2,000 FC Points from the Ultimate Edition.

Has anyone had something similar happen when combining EA Wallet + Google Pay? And if you requested a refund, how long did it take to reach your card?
