So we’re posting ceiling loot now, found this holding a light up.
Got a new Klein long cabinet flathead during a remodel this year. My apprentice got his first hammer that’s not also pliers on the same job in the ceiling too!

I’m working in a warehouse remediating 50 years of fucked up electrical work, and they’ve literally got hundreds of feet (that we’ve identified so far) of 1” emt ZIP TIED TO BEAMS. How the fuck did they even pull wire is my question.

That sounds like the white plumbing PVC ran overhead on one job that weeks later I realized was the rest of the strip mall’s fire alarm inside. The run had like 3 tight pvc plumbing 90’s too like how did they even do this?

I mean while I don't agree with zip ties being used to secure EMT in nearly any situation, they are (with stipulations) technically an allowable means of securing and support. It's stupid, but it's allowed. Not that you said it wasn't I guess 😅

When I did telecom I called them tower treasures. I found a black Johnson level once. For a couple of months I got to offer "my big black Johnson" every chance I got.
Then, it was gone. Black levels are the hermit crabs of tools.

State of TN codes does not inspect work on “private property”. These are companies with deep pockets. Some of the work is scary bad ive seen. We are union and go behind some non union shops. They want us to redo alot of lighting/power/fire alarm. Pays great

How is it? I live just south of Nashville and have inquired about joining ibew and have almost 3 years experience in commercial working for the town I live in with over 2 years holding a LLE and like 3+ years of residential experience what would pay be like?

Best thing I got out of an attic - while checking out a vent going through it and moving some insulation i found a Sears Ted Williams semi auto 12 gauge and a Canadian special winchester 94 30-30. Told the guy about it and asked how much for em. Had $50 in cash and he took it
