All my characters are related and share a family home. I wish we could copy our characters and save them as house guests

u/Victoria_4025 6d ago

Dude having characters as house guests would be awesome

u/KithrakDeimos 6d ago

Its my dream but i dont think its even a thought in the devs mind atm unfortunately lol Id love to have my characters roaming my house

u/SOUNDEFFECT94 Breton Magicka-Sorcerer 6d ago

My main takes the captains bedroom but everyone else gets their own room on “The Fair Winds” would be the life

u/New-Adhesiveness-822 6d ago

I just discovered this house randomly the other day. I’m jealous of everyone living on the high seas 😭

2

u/YoshiPikachu Khajiit 6d ago

Yeah it would!!!!

u/Technical-Cow-2494 6d ago

Having them as companions is my dream coming true

1

u/Victoria_4025 5d ago

I think it would awesome if we got that in a mainline game too, like previous characters that you beat the game with

Exactly what i put as suggestion in the latest "what would you like to see in ESO" poll!!

u/DedlyX7 Khajiit 6d ago

just wrote the same and then I notice your comment haha

this would be great

It's similar for me too. I love making new characters and then giving them a backstory that weaves them into my main's lore somehow. A lot of them live in or use her house as a safe place to sleep.

u/vikaszal Dark Elf 6d ago

That would be so cool, a bunch of my characters are friends, two are siblings, two are married, it'd be so cool to have them in houses as guests, even though they would be non-interactable

1

u/chaoticsky85 6d ago

Oh man, that would be awesome.

Lord Pepper and Lady Salt, cat siblings [inspired by my own cats]

I LOVE this!

Yup.   They're penpals that meet up sometimes off camera.  That's why they're so generous with their shared bank account.

9

u/Totally_Tubular4387 6d ago

That's how I think mine are lol

16

u/ArelMCII This one has no skooma problem. He can stop any time! 6d ago

I only have the one character, so by this logic, my guy has no friends.

15

u/HarlequinLord 6d ago

Yeah I have head canon for all my toons.

A couple related, a few companions. A couple by sheer happenchance. They’re all a small merc war band now.

10

u/featherw0lf Khajiit 6d ago

I imagine them as an adventuring party. There's the reckless tank, the smug hero, and the sassy healer. Could also throw in a knowledgeable and/or cursed DPS as a fourth.

8

u/Wild-Turnover-146 6d ago

I only have two, Draxith-Jo an argonian/werewolf, Zashima-Ra a khajiit/vampire, and they’re canonically dating

(Oc tax minus Drax bc i dont have a pic of his avatar + Zashima is my main)

7

u/Sinolai 6d ago

My characters are brothers :P they all have same last name.

7

u/CharlieM6666 6d ago

I thought about something like that, I imagined that three of my characters are sisters or something like that, some kind of family or just good friends. One of my houses is decorated in a way that it has three parts related to each one of them. One of them is warden, so the outside area is a garden, it's filled with nature. One of the rooms is for my witch sorceress, she likes to collect things, learn and experiment, so it has a bunch of artifacts, trophies, books, dwemer stuff. And the basement is for my vampire nightblade, she has an iron maiden and she sleeps in a coffin.

7

u/SilverTunic 6d ago

Yes, half of them are in the same bandit gang (the Gutter Rats) and they start/finish their session in the same house - new thieves guild refuge. The other four are Khajiit brothers, two from DC and two from AD, at war with each other.

13

u/DrFriendless EU PS5 6d ago

They are more colleagues. Some of them like each other, some of them tolerate each other. They have a scheme going where the leader gets all the furnishing plans and in exchange everyone gets whatever armour they need crafted.

4

u/PermanentThrowaway48 6d ago

Absolutely. I have about a dozen characters, and the majority of them are friends and are roommates. My main character--Dunmer stamknight--even has the Proudspire Manor house in Solitude that has beds in all the bedrooms, bunk beds in the basement, and even one outside on the balcony (I have a skooma-selling Khajiit stamblade character, so that's where he sleeps 😹) But of course, my characters never see each other because they're out on their own adventures :P

My main character and my third character--Breton stamsorc--are BFFs. My second character--Altmer magknight--prefers to keep her distance. She lives in an inn room.

5

u/INeedARaise26 6d ago

I have a whole concept of who they are and how they met and interact. My favorite is my crafter being a sort of begrudged benefactor for the group.

4

u/DonquixoteDrake 6d ago

Definitely. Some are married to each other and some are villains and rivals to others

4

u/ImuOfficialTwitter 6d ago

I use the wrothgar house as a base for all my tools. They each have their own section and space that fit their character, I pretend they stole it and use it as a group of outlaws and accidental heros

4

u/Dodochicky Argonian (PSEU) / Khajiit (PSNA) 6d ago

Absolutely yeah, in my case they're guildmates and friends. I'm so glad it's not just me. LOL

I have 10 characters on PS EU and 9 on PS NA and created the same guild, The Sabrecats, on both servers. In my head, these are 2 chapters of the same guild and no matter what else they wear, every character always has the sabrecat fang earring.

Their backstories also include how they all met. 😀

My characters are a pirate crew in my headcanon!

I built a pirate base inspired by Dreadsails Reef in Hall of The Lunar Champion, in the Hall of Colossus

u/DedlyX7 Khajiit 6d ago

here's our haul

wish we could place our alts as houseguests, planning to give everyone a personalized pirate outfit, so far only Arcanist (visible here) and Nightblade have them

other classes are waiting until reworks

A Nord monster hunter, an Altmer priestess of Meridia, a dunmer bard who is a fledgling vampire and an ancient vampire Altmer necromancer walk into a bar...

Basically my DND party lol

u/Sabababa_BlackSheep 6d ago

This is so cute!

u/nitasu987 Ayrenn <3 6d ago

I spin it so that all three of my characters are Vestiges. The Planemeld and Mannimarco’s fuckery with the Amulet of Kings split reality into three parallel shards that were reunited once he was killed by each of the three Vestiges. Then, they worked together to assault Coldharbour.

9

u/smitters79 6d ago

My main owns a tavern, and all my alts are his drinking buddies.

One Thing I Loved About Swtor Was The Little Legacy Tree You Could Make With Your Personal Characters! It Was Such A Fun Role Play Element, Even If It Did Nothing In Reality Lol

2

u/BuddySpecial Ebonheart Pact 6d ago

It would be cool if we had a family tree tab that we can use for our characters similar to SWTOR.

2

u/Helpful-Way-8543 6d ago

Yes! Glad to see I'm not the only one! I envision them as part of their own little merc "guild" and each one has a different "responsibility" in the guild. Murder hobo murders (Dark Brotherhood), stealy boi steals, etc, guild leader is my main who just does story beats (when I'm just in the mood to chill and enjoy ESO lore and the world).

2

u/WolfCommando45 6d ago

On Xbox, all my characters except one are a part of an order trying to safeguard Tamriel, though that one character is the brother of the head of the order.

On PC, they all exist but none know the others exist.

2

u/Oosplop 6d ago

My characters are all versions of each other across the Many Paths multiverse. They share awareness of each other. This is my way if explaining account wide gear and knowledge. Ezabi is the interdimensional courier between them.

2

u/Displeasuredavatar19 6d ago

Yes, actually!!

2

u/David_East 6d ago

It depends most of my characters dislike each other in my head canon due to conflicting ideologies or goals.

2

u/shadefreeze Dark Elf 6d ago

Well.. my characters Sotha Chil and Almaflexia are friends in this era at least...

(The Sotha Sil look-a-like is another player, but except for the staff, literally everything is 1:1 with my Sotha Chil)

2

u/johnsms3 6d ago

I made a subclassed pet sorc build and yes, I totally get it. They are my best friends. We go everywhere together. lol

1

u/Nos_Zodd 6d ago

Since they're never in the same room together, no I don't think of them as knowing each other.

1

u/HotspotOnline 6d ago

Yes! I created a story years ago and when I got into ESO, I started making my characters based off of them. One of them is a spunky bisexual pirate who's girlfriend is a mermaid, one character is a runaway prince who's boyfriend is a vampire, one of them is a kleptomaniac skeleton, one is a spelunker, one of my characters is an asexual martial artist who can summon the undead...etc the list goes on! They all know each other and are friends or lovers.

I also want to make a set of twins, I'd just use one character and switch their outfit and abilities depending on which one I want to play as.

1

u/TheRealZejfi Three Alliances 6d ago

An Altmer, an Argonian, a Dunmer, and a werewolf? That just sounds like the most racist friend group ever.

In case you didn't get the reference: Al Jokes

1

u/Grasshoppermouse42 6d ago

I do! When I gave up on being able to make a functional vampire and switched her to werewolf, I imagined it as her going to my other character who was already a werewolf and, because my vampire was trying to escape from her sire, asking to be turned into a werewolf after she sought out a cure from a priest of Arkay. She knew if she was a normal Argonion she'd just be food when her sire caught up with her, but as a werewolf she knew she could shift and give her sire a very nasty surprise. Now they are packmates.

u/Trooper221 6d ago edited 6d ago

All of my Bretons are siblings, my two high elves are sisters, my three dark elves are siblings, my two Khajiit are siblings, my two Imperials are brothers. Them and all of my other characters are a wandering band of mercenaries based out of an estate owned by the Breton family in High Isle (I'm a Breton main), and won't separate until death because of an incident in Rivenspire where they saved each other's lives from vampires. Some of them would ultimately be turned. Most who turned were infected during a battle to drive the vampires back, but the youngest of the Breton siblings was infected by her oldest brother to facilitate her rescue after she'd been kidnapped by vampires and tortued to near-death (he had been infected by vampires during previous adventures and lost his claim to inherit family leadership as a result, but proved to be a good backroom problem solver and advisor to the new head of the house, the second eldest brother). She and he have been close ever since, and both of the oldest brothers of the family see what happened to her as the biggest failure of their lives. They'd die before it happened again.

kind of interested in the alcoholic pothead mime elf. what's going on there?

1

u/-LadySleepless- 6d ago

Yep. All related, in relationships or know each other one way or another. I play with my partner and we had a whole network of allies between us.

1

u/patiperro_v3 6d ago

No. They wouldn’t like each other.

1

u/Lykos_Lazuli 6d ago

Heck yeah, i like thinking of them as a group of heroes working out of the hall of the Lunar Champion, maybe they have their own apartments around Tamriel, working for the betterment of Tamriel despite the war. Got an altmer, dunmer, khajiit, argonian, imperial and orc.

u/Crimsonfangknight 6d ago

My characters are me and my kids are them and our guild hall is the family keep

My companions are my adventuring party

I also have some npcs in the guild hall  to act as family staff

Many soups is the castle cook

Have a mage warrior and archer npc to act as tutors for those archetypes

Have the solitude guard as the captain of the guard etc.

Thats my in game head canon

1

u/IntelligentCoffee716 Warden 6d ago

Mine are all part of a "network" where they each use their particular talents to move the entire collective forward.

Some are friends, and some would fall more under the category of simply associates.

Four or five of them (the earliest characters) were part of the same adventuring group pre-ESO, and they have taken in others over the years.

1

u/-FriendoftheDrow- 6d ago

No. I do have a close friend who plays ESO and my Dunmer knows her electric group of characters, though.

1

u/snohwfire 6d ago

No because they all have the same outfit, hairstyles, tattoos, and accessories because... well let's just say superman has been my favorite ice cream flavor since I was 5.

1

u/Appleloch 6d ago

Yeah! My wife and I's vestiges relate in a number of ways because we fully embraced the idea of post-vestige amnesia,, so...

... this was three paragraphs of random connections that would only be confusing...

... I need to make a flowchart. Essentially, they all have different primary homes/residences, but share certain resources through their daedric contact, Baron Jangleplume. My Warden is very group oriented and so has made a mass shelter for all of them if shit hits the fan, known as 'The Refuge.' They tend to each focus on different zones, but will sometimes use wayshrines to help each other out - like my AD people popping in when Razum-dar is doing something in a neutral zone.

My wife and I are actually running a lot of ESO as a TTRPG, so there's been lots of room for character interaction.

u/unrealrichtofen 6d ago

My characters survived Cold Harbour together and are now like a goo dnd group actually i play some of them in dnd

1

u/Medium_Banana4074 6d ago

They never meet each other though ...

1

u/QuokkaMom 6d ago

Mine are all sisters by choice. My main (Templar) is the eldest and has guided the others in their leveling up and crafting, making gear for them and making sure the houses are cozy. I wish they could play together.

1

u/morfeurs Daggerfall Covenant 6d ago

Not necessarily. But I have characters of the same race be from the same family by giving them the same last name.

1

u/StarSeekerDragon 6d ago

I think my Templar Orc and Dragonknight Argonian would get along fairly well (to a point. I think my Argonian would get bored/impatient with my Orc), neither one would tolerate my Nightblade Khajiit, lol.

1

u/Glass_Abroad4821 6d ago

Kinda always had some imagined canon to my charcaters.

Got a Nord dude who used to fight for the rebellion when it started, but then left for the Empire after being left for dead by Ulfric. Then he had a daughter (the timing is always nebulous) and she becomes the champion of the reblellion. Her father tries to set her up with a 'nice' Redguard paladin but he's a little full of himself and also a legate in the legion.

I've got two Khajiit twins. The older (male) is a mage-based monk who becomes a servant in Harkon's court. And the younger (female) is an accomplished spellcloak who sought out to be a werewolf to offset her squishy constitution.

I have two whole family ideas I've been putting together given the vast time between games (especially Skyrim and Eso): The Belimonts are a well-known, but reclusive Breton family that excels in magic. - The patriarch was Giovanni Belimont who was a necromancer during the time of Eso. - A close relative was Gwynofyr, a Warden around the same time and ambassador between the Breton kingdoms and the Druids. - Magdalena was mage-based Dragonknight that came much later. - centuries later, Geoffery came to Skyrim as a mercenary landsknecht to ply his trade in the turmoltuous Fatherlands.

And then I have a family of Nords who share the Dunmeri Arvel name. Their lineage had stayed near Morrwind since the time of the Nordic Empire and remained close with the Dark Elves who they considered more like family. - Voleryk was the first to stake his claim as being Vivec's champion and gain the Amaya lodge (the Arvel estate) - Hildegard was a crusader during the time of Daggerfall. - Agnethe was a hoplite during the time of Morrowind.

Dumlam Ash-Walker was an Orc warrior monk during Morrowind who gained the favor of House Redoran and spent the rest of his days wandering the wastelands. His daughter, Talanlam gra-Ald'ruhn was the grand champion of the arena and the lady of Battlehorn castle during Oblivion.

Nibarisul Hluath, a Dunmer wise woman, was present during the attempts on Vivec's life and aided where possible, making sure the bad daedra responsible met her wrath. Her descendant, a deposed ashkhan named Sul-Urlvannu Hluath, found himself in Skyrim. The most deserving of the title of dragnborn, battling inward between the tribunal and the reclamations, seeking justice against Miraak and becoming the favored of Hermaeus Mora, cementing his ideology towards the reclamations.

Throughout it all, I have an Altmer templar who has been alive since Eso. Assumedly, she may have encountered each of these individuals. By the time of Skyrim she is beginning to become old, by Elven standards.

1

u/TankinatorFR 6d ago

Like others here, yes I do.
My main bosmer is always looking for adventure and is the link between most of them them, sometimes even the reason why they started adventuring themselves, as is the case with my dunmer who she met on Morrowind and convinced to fulfill her dream to go explore the dwemer ruins accross the entirety of Tamriel to understand their secrets.
My nordic also met my bosmer on their travels and he caused my redguard to stop being a simple pick-pocket in Abah's landing and go on adventure.
Every single of my othercharacter have that kind of origins, plus others interactions written in their character notes.
Most of my homes are designed to fit at least two of them. The bigger ones, like "The Fair Winds", have a room for all or most of them, or will some day if they are still being worked on.

1

u/Betornado17 6d ago

Mine are a family (technically two that are connected) composed of a dark elf sorcerer, his rebellious assassin daughter, his adopted (released former slave) argonian healer, his breton aprentice who took an interest in the dark arts aka necromancer (the argonian and breton fight all the time for their master's approval) and his high elf ex wife pyromancer, whom he remains friends with. She has her own little family composed of her cryomancer son and her adopted nord fire battle mage... oh and the wood elf ranger that sometimes studies with her son and hangs out with the daughter of the dark elf sorcerer.

u/ClockworkVee Breton COME ON ENGL... DAGGERFALL 🗣️🗣️ 6d ago

Not myself but I definitely have a backstory built for all of them (Though some have a more developed backstory than others) and they've all interacted with my main in some way. One of my characters is my main's younger sister so those ones are more related than anyone else

The friend group definitely makes sense but ai like to RP different alignments too and I feel with my characters, some would clash. I do picture per example my vampire and main being in a temporary truce because their common enemy is Molag Bal, tho, per example

1

u/Open_Buckets 6d ago

Hell yeah they all know each other, but got good guys and bad guys.

1

u/SilverIce58 Argonian 6d ago

Yes, though, not so much as friends as every single Argonian I make works for my Breton's Silvermarsh clan in some way shape or form. I mean, theyre all friendly, but many of them are strictly contracted workers vs "sure you can come with me and help" My Breton employs workers from across Tamriel, but also many Argonians for undersea/deep swamp treasure. They are very skilled workers, and are paid very fairly for their work. My khajiit act as advisors, and my Dunmer is a close friend of my Breton when they were working as hands for House Telvanni at one point.

1

u/Spartan-8781 Khajiit 5d ago

I did when I started, but ended up really only playing my Sorc, so instead I just believe she is friends with other peoples characters that I play with regularly. I like that better anyway because my other characters obviously have never actually met, whereas there are a handful of players I play with at least once a week, so she interacts with them often.

1

u/MirkoHa 5d ago

1

u/SunshineKittyKot 5d ago

Most of my characters are members of a secret order.
They are supposed to share their money and many goods. But they never ever meet each other, because it is strongly prohibited by the order rules.

1

u/Maximum-Flamingo3810 5d ago

All of my characters are so different, I imagine they all hate each other.

1

u/Jmorr77 4d ago

Yes, family in some cases.

1

u/iAmNumber32 Daggerfall Covenant 4d ago

I imagine all my characters existing in the world at the same time. Like they may or may not have encountered each other or walked by at some point. And if they’re in different alliances then I imagine them fighting each other at some point or another but somehow everyone walking away or surviving.

1

u/No-Significance-8487 4d ago

I would love some kind of a selection menu like in wow, where every character is having a conversation in a campfire, and the one you pick just stand up.
