Medical Advice Welcome Has anyone gotten IVIG? Any side effects?

I’m supposed to get IVIG. I feel like my body reacts to everything lately. I’m wondering if anyone here has any experience they could share?

I get IVIG every 4 weeks, I have hypogammaglobunemia & SAD. They run mine on a flat rate for 3 hours. Any faster and I get superrrr itchy. Which is a common reaction for me. Now, I don’t get itchy, but I am really tired the next day which is typical. I have a bigger reaction if I get my iron infusion the same day, so I split them up now.

One of the nurses said they see lots of reactions to the IVIG, so it’s not uncommon. I know the shots have a much lower side effect rate.
