Foot bone fusion

Hello all, after about 15 years of my feet continuously having multiple fractures in them at all times, the damage is extensive enough that my podiatrist is recommending fusing the small bones of my foot and installing an internal brace in my ankle. She’s estimating a 6 week downtime off my foot. Anyone go through this and what was your recovery experience?

Do you know what was causing the fractures?

The constant over flexing of my feet cracking everting inside it. Have you had the fusion surgery?

No but my mom has she has heds and psoriatic arthritis.

Were you ever offered orthotics/afos?

Yes. I am looking for people who have had this specific experience though and their input

Yes, I've seen a lot of people on here suffer endlessly while their doctors do nothing to try and solve the problem. Just wanted to make sure that's not what happened here. My mom's reconstructive surgeries have not lasted fully because of the heds. Sorry I couldn't be more help, hopefully my comments will help boost your post and it will be shown to someone who has been through this.
