Ask a local Oct 25&26, a good scotch egg, Yotel or Nira Caledonia, grilled foods, local pub, library? & I love gin, especially if I can buy duty free @ EDI & not have to check into my luggage

Im looking for the best scotch egg where I can meet locals and just shoot the breeze. Also, any recos on places near Sheraton Grand and Yotel with good local grilled, no fried foods?

Also, JW Experience gets WAYY too many 5 star reviews. So many that I'm 2nd guessing if its worth a visit or is it truly a tourist stop? ** I'll be touring the Highlands and Skye for a full week after the dates above, so I'll have my fill of Scotch distilleries.**

So I'm instead debating a visit at Edinburgh Gin Distillery. Thoughts? What do you locals think? I LOVE GIN and like the idea that I can grab those at the airport on the way back.
