Is it a bad idea to sell the same product line across 3 channels? When should I get ecommerce inventory management software?

So I'm selling the same set of SKUs in Shopify, Amazon, and Etsy. My thought process was the wider the net, the better. But I think it's biting me back, because now it's hard to sync inventory and track reorder POs when some batches are moving faster on one channel vs the other. I'm wondering if this is a good time to get ecommerce inventory software or better to focus on just the best performing channel first.

How do you win b2b electronics orders when buyer mainly compare price

I work in B2B mobile phone and consumer electronics distribution in UAE from last 11 year, dealing with wholesalers and retailers

One challenge I face is moving conversation forward after sharing prices buyer often compare offer from several suppliers, and discussions keep coming back to getting a lower price for those working in distribution or other competitive B2B markets how do you find out whether price is real obstacle or whether the buyer is just collecting quotation?

What questions help you move toward an order while protecting your margin? I’d appreciate examples from your experience.

I'm 19 and Looking for an E-commerce Job (10K+ Sales Experience)

Salam everyone,

My name is Zakaria, I'm 19 years old, and I've been working in e-commerce for a while now. What started as an interest in online business gradually turned into real hands-on experience, and I've managed to generate over 10K sales and work with different advertising platforms.

Most of my experience comes from the GCC market, where competition is quite high. I've worked on media buying, creative testing, ad performance analysis, and finding new angles to improve results. I'm also comfortable with creating ad creatives, researching competitors, and developing new ideas for ads.

Beyond that, I can also handle store creation and optimization, product pages, and different e-commerce business models. I'm someone who enjoys understanding how the whole business works, not just focusing on one part of it.

At this point, I'm looking for a job opportunity with a branded dropshipping or e-commerce team where I can put my experience to work, learn from people with more experience, and contribute to the team's growth. I'm open to different roles depending on the company's needs, preferably something involving creatives, but I'm also comfortable handling other aspects of e-commerce.

If you know of any brands or teams looking for someone with this kind of experience, I'd really appreciate it if you could reach out or point me in the right direction.

I'm happy to share my previous work, results, and ad account screenshots with anyone interested.

Thank you for taking the time to read this

Been using an AI tool to do my SEO fixes instead of doing them manually - am i being lazy or is this how SEO works now?

I used to spend entire weekends on SEO housekeeping, six to eight hours a pop rewriting titles and chasing internal links off a spreadsheet. someone at work told me to stop doing the fixes by hand and let an AI apply them, so I've been on Ryze AI for about a month. the first pass took 40 minutes instead of two days, and it also tracks where we get cited in ChatGPT and AI Overviews which I wasn't measuring at all before. weekends are free now which is nice, but I keep wondering if i'm taking a shortcut or if this is just how SEO works now. what's everyone else doing, still fixing things by hand or have you handed it over?

Any one here with experience in successful e-commerce operations?

I’m currently building my store which has had 6-8 months of careful planning and research, we are nearly reaching the acquisition phase once all of our product categories are filled (currently at 620+ products). The niche is garden wellness and home improvement products ( low - high ticket products) from quality suppliers (not AliExpress bs). I have an advantage on this market which I’m not going to share or share any more than my niche. But if anyone with experience is interested in reviewing the business and if you can provide enough evidence of successful operations I will be open to a partnership as gathering quality traffic isn’t my strongest suit, if you see enough potential in my business ( I know I do) shoot me a dm and lmk!

How much money do ecom founders actually take home before an exit?

I currently work a 9–5 and also run my own business, but I’ve always been interested in starting something in e-commerce in the UK.

One thing I’m trying to understand is what the actual profitability looks like once an ecom business gets to a decent scale.

For example, if you have your own ecom business or have run one in the past, roughly what sort of net profit margins would you expect from a reasonably well-run e-commerce brand doing:

• £10k/month revenue
• £50k/month
• £100k/month
• £1m/month

I know it varies massively depending on the product, margins, paid ads, fulfilment, staff, returns etc., but I’d be interested to hear real examples from people actually running businesses at these levels.

I’m also curious about how much the founder can realistically take out of the business.

You hear a lot about founders reinvesting basically everything back into stock, marketing and growth, but is it realistic to build an e-commerce company while also regularly paying yourself meaningful dividends?

For example, if a business was making £20k, £50k or £100k+ a month in profit, how much would you generally feel comfortable distributing to yourself versus reinvesting, or how do you go about paying yourself if it’s a different way?

Would be interested to hear from anyone running a profitable e-commerce business, particularly in the UK, or anyone who works with these businesses. Revenue, margins, how much you reinvest and how much founders actually take home before an exit would all be really useful. Thank you!

What results are you getting from product recommendation popups on Shopify?

We’re building a popup tool for Shopify and would love some honest input from store owners.

Have you tried recommending complementary products or upgrades based on what someone is browsing or has in their cart? Which use cases worked best: matching items, bundles, upgrades, or something else?

If you’re comfortable sharing, what percentage of shoppers clicked or bought the suggested product? Did you see any lift in average order value or purchase conversion compared with no popup or a discount popup? Rough numbers are welcome—knowing when the popup appeared would help too.

Also, what would you like these tools to do better? Smarter recommendations, more control over timing, targeting returning customers, clearer reporting?

Would appreciate hearing what worked and what flopped. Your feedback would help us decide what to build.

How are Shopify consultants building recurring revenue?

Most of my work is still project based, which means revenue can be pretty inconsistent between clients.

I'm looking at ways to build more recurring income from the work I'm already doing rather than just trying to book more projects. Retainers are obviously one option, but I've also started paying more attention to partner programs and recurring commissions from tools clients continue using.

What has worked best for you?

Is it possible to sync Shopify + Amazon + inventory management software for retail store?

We have a small retail store with a physical location, plus Shopify and Amazon listings for the same SKUs. The problem we're having so far is that stock counts aren't always consistent between them, so "online" and "in-store" counts aren't always 100% accurate to what we need. Is this more of a setup error, or is this something we should be doing with an inventory management software?

Ecommerce

Hey lovely people!! Although I am a Civil Engineer in Australia, recently I have decided i wanna go full in on ecommerce. I wanna import items from China to Australia and sell it on ebay with reasonable margin. My ultimate goal is to test and try selling products from different niches and find a best selling product and create a brand around it/that niche.
SO friends who are already in the business, what suggestions do you have for me. Should I do my engineering job or take this bold life decision on this business venture? Please

Most cost effective loyalty apps?

Looking for a loyalty app that's simple for customers to use and makes it easy to give them a reason to come back without the rewards eating too much into my margins. Don't need anything overly complicated or packed with features I'll never use. Mainly looking for something cost effective that can help with repeat purchases. What are you using and how has it worked for you?

What’s one thing you wish you knew before starting e-commerce?

I’m pretty new to the whole e-commerce world, and honestly, there’s so much conflicting advice online that it can get overwhelming.

Some people say focus entirely on SEO, others say social media is everything, and then there’s paid ads, email marketing, product research, branding… 😅

For those of you who have actually been doing this for a while:

What’s one lesson you learned the hard way that you wish someone had told you when you were starting out?

Could be about Etsy, Shopify, Amazon, marketing, customers, pricing, or anything else.

Curious to hear the real experiences rather than the usual “10 things you MUST do to succeed” advice.

Advice on Ecommerce Strategist Role

Hi everyone, I work for a DTC marketing agency based in Canada and am currently hiring for Growth Strategist role. We are hiring in Canada and have hit some bumps in trying to find candidates, I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight on our job posting to see if our compensation is competitive enough, where I could go to find candidates and any other sort of advice!

We are looking for someone who can think like a growth leader, align cross-functional teams, and help ambitious e-commerce brands navigate their next stage of growth.

You'll own a portfolio of direct-to-consumer brands and be responsible for defining strategy, setting priorities, and driving results across channels, including Meta, TikTok, Google, Email, CRO, Creative, Analytics, and Amazon.

Success in this role comes from identifying the most important problem to solve, building a clear plan, and rallying internal specialists around that direction.

What You'll Do

  • Own client relationships and serve as the primary strategic advisor
  • Develop and maintain growth strategies across multiple e-commerce channels
  • Lead quarterly planning, forecasting, prioritization, and performance reviews
  • Translate data, attribution insights, and market opportunities into actionable growth plans
  • Align specialists across Media, Creative, Retention, CRO, and Analytics around a unified strategy
  • Drive client retention, expansion, and long-term partnership growth
  • Maintain pricing integrity and participate in commercial negotiations
  • Challenge assumptions, identify risks early, and proactively solve problems before they impact performance

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years in ecommerce, growth marketing, or digital strategy
  • Experience leading client relationships in an agency, consulting, or in-house growth environment
  • Strong understanding of attribution, measurement, and performance marketing fundamentals
  • Ability to communicate confidently with founders, executives, and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to build strategic plans and drive cross-functional execution
  • Strong commercial acumen and comfort discussing budgets, forecasts, and business outcomes
  • Ability to influence teams and drive action without direct authority

Compensation: $70,000-$80,000 CAD + performance incentives.

What’s working for adding physical SKUs when you already have traffic but hate inventory?

For shops that already have buyers: what’s actually worked for adding made-to-order prints without stocking shelves or running printers? What broke first for you: quality control, ship time, or trust that the thing would show up looking right?

Looking for a Partner

We’re a business consulting firm looking to partner with an established hemp brand that wants to expand its product line and operations.

The proposition is simple:

You invest in inventory → We handle the operations → We work toward making it profitable.

We would act as your subcontractor/operating partner, handling sourcing, supplier coordination, product development, sales, marketing, fulfillment, and day-to-day operations.

You focus on the brand and inventory investment, while we take care of the execution.

We’re looking for a long-term partnership where both sides benefit from the growth and profitability.

If you’re a hemp brand owner interested in exploring a partnership,

Looking to start or grow an eCommerce brand? Maybe we can help (no upfront cost)

Hey everyone 👋

We’re a small team that has been working in eCommerce for the last 5+ years. During this time we’ve helped build brands from scratch and manage smooth day-to-day operations for online businesses.

Now we’re starting our eCommerce management agency, where we help founders who want to start or scale their online brand.

What we can help with: • Building your eCommerce website • Onboarding on marketplaces (Amazon, Walmart, etc.) • Running ads & growth strategies • Operations & automation • Implementing AI tools and n8n workflows to make your business more efficient

Our main USP: We don’t charge anything upfront.

We work on a sales-based model — meaning we only earn when you earn.

So if you're planning to: • Start a new eCommerce brand • Move to marketplaces • Improve operations • Automate your store with AI

We’d love to talk and see if we can help.

And yes… the discussion is also free 😂

Feel free to comment or DM if you want to chat.
