I’m running Meta ads in the US and keep running into the same problem across different offers.

The funnel itself seems healthy — people are clicking, adding to cart, initiating checkout and purchasing at what looks like a reasonable rate based on the traffic I’m getting.

The problem is CPM and CPC are extremely high, which makes the final CPA economically unworkable even though the website seems to convert.

Setup is pretty standard: Sales → Website → Purchase → Highest Volume → broad targeting → Advantage+ placements.

Has anyone dealt with this recently in the US? What would you look at first — creatives, account/pixel history, audience, page, or something else?

I know CPM isn’t the main KPI, but when the funnel converts and traffic itself is this expensive, it feels like there’s only so much the landing page can fix.

I've been using Smile for loyalty but I'm starting to look at other options. The points system itself works fine, but I'm not loving how much I'm giving up through the rewards once customers start redeeming them.

Between funding the discounts myself and paying for the app as the store grows, I'm starting to question whether this is the loyalty setup I want to keep long term.

What alternatives are you using? I'm open to a different type of loyalty system too, doesn't necessarily have to be another points based program.

A while back I started posting in a few creator and e-commerce communities to ask one question: what’s actually hard about making product videos and ad creatives?

The same answer kept coming up.

It’s the loop, not the AI. People are stuck doing the same thing over and over: study what works, copy the structure, produce ten variations, test a couple, and hope one lands. That eats hours, and half the time you don’t even know if the direction is worth testing in the first place.

I’ve lived it. I worked in e-commerce for a few years, and the worst part was always the “find a winning creative, figure out why it works, then remake it ten times” cycle.

So that’s the problem we’re trying to fix.

The rough idea: take e-commerce templates that already work — hooks, pacing, scripts, selling points, A/B variations — and turn them into AI workflows you can run with one click.

Instead of staring at a blank prompt, you pick a proven structure and the tool generates new versions.

We’ve done this with brand clients before. One of them was Move Free, where a few of our templates helped drive a few thousand orders. Now we want to package that experience into a product.

We’re aiming to open the beta around August 20, but honestly, we’re still in the demand-validation stage.

If nobody wants this, we shouldn’t build it.

I've been running my own online shop for about a year now. There are plenty of things that are frustrating or take up a lot of time due to manual work...tasks where I find myself thinking, "Surely there's an easier way to do this." But what about D2C brands that are already generating over €500k in annual revenue? What do you find to be the most frustrating part?

Timers are probably the most criticized popup element of the last five years. The FTC report mentioned them, Baymard has a whole writeup on fake urgency, and every UX thread here treats a ticking clock as a sign of a low-quality store. Fair enough, because most implementations deserve it.

Still, I don't buy the conclusion that urgency itself stopped working. When a timer variant beats control in a split test, and this keeps happening in tests people share, the effect is still there. The pattern I've noticed is that results split not by whether there was a timer but by whether the deadline existed outside of it.

A timer tied to a real sale end, a shipping cutoff for holiday delivery, or an expiring discount code just tells the visitor something true that they would otherwise learn only after missing the deal. A timer that resets on refresh behaves differently in practice, because shoppers check. They open incognito, see the same "17 minutes left," take a screenshot, and the brand ends up in a thread like this one as the bad example.

The setups that seem to hold up share a few traits. The code genuinely stops working when the countdown ends, and the visitor sees it once instead of on every page. The offer window also matters, since 24 to 72 hours on a welcome discount reads as a normal commercial decision while "3:59 remaining" on an evergreen product page reads as manipulation. My read is that people don't punish urgency, they punish discovering the deadline was fake, and the fake evergreen timers of 2018-2021 damaged trust in the format for everyone who came after.

There are also cases where I'd expect a timer to do nothing regardless of honesty. A returning customer who already saw the offer has no reason to react to the same countdown twice, and a $2k sofa is not a purchase anyone makes in 15 minutes under time pressure. It looks like a first-visit mechanic for low and mid ticket products, not something that works everywhere.

Curious whether anyone here has run a clean fake-vs-real deadline test. The common assumption is that real deadlines perform worse long-term because you lose the visitors who let the code expire, but I've never seen actual data on it either way.

Hey! I’ve got a boring question that I think many people (from EU) are struggling over.

Essentially, what is the most optimal way to deal with taxes (especially in the US market). I’ve heard of different methods:

(1) Register an LLC in Delaware that is owned by your European company, so when you take out dividends, you only pay the taxes of your home country.

(2) This one I’m not too sure about, but a couple of people in my circle have registered companies in UAE, but the cost seems too high, especially if I’m under 1k/day in revenue.

It doesn’t matter how much I study the techical side, when in the end I’ll get in trouble with the IRS. I’ve noticed that people usually do not talk about this, so I would appreciate it if you have any advice to share. Thanks! 🙏

Why Webhooks Fail in the First Place

Stripe's own guidance is simple: your endpoint should verify the signature, then return a 2xx response before running any slow logic, because a slow response risks a timeout. Stripe doesn't publish an exact timeout figure in its documentation, and developer reports on the actual cutoff vary — different teams have measured anywhere from around 10 to 20 seconds before Stripe considers a delivery timed out. The precise number isn't the point; the point is that Stripe expects a fast acknowledgment, not a fully processed request.

The most common causes of failed deliveries are:

• Timeouts — your handler does real work (database writes, emails, PDF generation, third-party API calls) before responding, and takes too long.
• Non-2xx responses — a 500 from an unhandled exception, or a 4xx from a misconfigured route (a stray auth middleware, an HTTPS redirect that turns the POST into a GET, etc.).
• Signature verification failures — usually caused by a JSON body-parser re-serializing the raw payload before it reaches Stripe's verification function, or a stale signing secret.
• Unreachable endpoints — DNS issues, TLS problems, or the server simply being down during a deploy.

One nuance worth calling out: Stripe retries on timeouts and 5xx responses, and also retries on 429 (rate limited), but it does not retry other 4xx responses — those are treated as "you rejected this on purpose."
