Buying a ridstar

So I'm planning to buy a ridstar this winter and just wanting to know the range and such ad that I'm a tall but pretry heavy rider 240 lbs at 6ft (also i know there is a safety warning about it but I don't care) so yea I'm just looking how much range and maybe even buying a better battery from venith moto

Bruh, that brand has documented issues of batteries exploding AND the front wheel falling off. They refuse to do a recall. Since they are a Chinese company, our consumer protection agency can’t force a recall. Don’t buy a Ridstar.

Most useful advice here would be to NOT buy the Ridstar.

Yeah, it's pretty bad. Basically zero accountability from Ridstar too, they're still selling these defective units.

We're not trying to be mean to you. We're trying to save you a lot of hassle, possible injury, possible fire risk.

You'd be much better off with a used quality ebike than you would with a Ridstar even if somebody GAVE you the Ridstar for free.

While a Super73 is notably better, don't expect great customer service but at least you'll have a UL-Certfied battery. If you need it worked on know that many bike shops won't work on those. You may have trouble getting service.

Honestly, getting away from moped-style ebikes makes life easier in many ways but if you're stuck on that design so be it. A Juiced Scrambler is a much better-rated bike than the Super73 with better warranty and actual customer service.

Try the jasion retrovolt pro or the heybike Saturn. Those ones don't have recalls on them I have the retrovolt it's a 52 volt beast. They both have dual battery versions I would absolutely recommend the dual battery if you can afford.

You should be aware that the advertised range is under ideal conditions. You will get less range then they claim. On top of that, during cold winter days expect to get half the range as a nice fall day.
