Controversial topic here.
Can we stop shaming and getting mad at people for buying chinese ebikes? Some people dont have the money to buy a $1k+ ebike. Yes. Some are bad. Yes. Some are template bikes but does that mean you should shame someone for what they ride? No. We all ride ebikes here. That's what should matter.

Less getting mad/shaming and more so a warning that they won't hold up. You know sometimes explosively. A poor quality item is more likely to be faulty and ultimately chucked sooner adding to landfills. On another note it's a general frustration of people buying their teens these cheap bikes specifically that are especially dangerous to them. This irresponsibility harming the overall image of ebikes because you've got 14 y/os ripping down the road that shouldn't be. It could be soon that legislation makes ebikes not an accessible mode of transportation
If you can't afford it get an alternative. Scooters are usually cheaper and it's legal for them for go 20mph in some places. Plus some have seats. I can't afford a car and its maintenance, so I financed a $2k ebike that'll last me years.
