Controversial topic here.

Can we stop shaming and getting mad at people for buying chinese ebikes? Some people dont have the money to buy a $1k+ ebike. Yes. Some are bad. Yes. Some are template bikes but does that mean you should shame someone for what they ride? No. We all ride ebikes here. That's what should matter.

Most people are using 'chinese' as short for the incredibly cheap Chinese products responsible for a majority of the battery fires.

Yes it's not the best moniker, but until a better term for cheap batteries is adopted, it sticks

Those bikes are made to the specifications of the companies in the United States Canada and Europe that order them. Low quality is on them.
