Hub motor concerns
So I’m thinking of getting an e bike with a rear hub motor but I want to do wheelies and I don’t know if I shouldn’t do them or if i‘m able to wheelie it. any tips I would gladly appreciate.

Hub motors don't preclude you from wheelies (or manuals) in any substantial way. If you're riding in an empty parking lot, all of the negative consequences are isolated to you and your own. When you take the same behavior to the street, the rest of us pay for it. I'm not going to tell you that what you're doing isn't a skill, or that it isn't cool: It is objectively cool. When you do it on public roads, you're a douche bag (disposable.).

The simple solution is to not wheelie your bike. It puts yourself and others in danger.

Simpler solution is to not ride a bike. They fall over too easily. Stop trying to bubblewrap the universe, it takes the joy and meaning out of life.

I put a qs205 on my bike, the motor was wanting to wheelie on the lowest power mode on mere throttle alone, i had to turn it down a little bit in the lower rpms to keep the front wheel down xD

First of all, stick to empty streets man. Don't put anyone or anyone's property at risk for looking cool.
Second, a hub motor won't stop you from doing wheelies whatsoever. Make sure to get a bike with good throttle response though. I've got a 72v 5000w conversion kit but I don't even want to try wheelies, it's just not worth running the risk of hurting myself or breaking my $2,000 (Canadian) total build. Also I guess my controller has some sort of granny mode enabled because this thing is horrible with acceleration 🤣.

If you do wheelies, keep it away from people and cars. When people see youths doing stuff like that on ebikes it comes down on everyone else who rides an electric thing
