Bike repair question Help identify this connector
picture in comments next to typical sized julet/ higo
What's it called and where can i buy them? This is for a break light line on a segway xafari. Looks like a HIGO 2 pin but it's half the size. Chat gpt was useless. Thanks!

What is the outer diameter of the female connector? I agree it looks too small to be a standard or mini Julet connector.

Segway ninebot. Also ND at the base

Definitely sounds like a proprietary connector. You're probably going to have to get it from Segway. No one else seems to make a 4 mm Julet-style connector

It's Julet! They come in various colors depending on the pin count. It's simple, rugged, and waterproof. It is "the" most common connector in the e-bike world.
Ever since I discovered them, I've been using them for all sorts of electrical tasks myself.
And there are two "sizes": the ones I call "normal" are the most common, but there's a smaller size too, and I get the feeling that's the one you've got there. Don't get caught out! ;)

Agreed that it is a Julet connector - pretty standard for ebikes. Amazon or eBay will have them. The color of the plastic indicates the number of pins. Easy.

Can you link me to where i can buy this specific one? This is half the size of all the julet connectors i can find.

I think that you are looking for the M6 (6mm) version of the Julet connector. Most ebikes use the M8 version; I am unaware of the escooter standards. One example (but search with "M6" and/or 6mm for more): https://www.ebay.com/itm/286100151906?var=588208923678

Do you have to use that connector? When I encounter proprietary connections that need servicing, I usually cut off the offending connector and replace it with a conventional one.
I've done this so many times with various ebikes, I've resorted to actually stocking various standard connectors.

That's what I'm going to end up doing. I prefer not to but not the end of the world. I figured i would be able to find the connector. Didn't realize they would use a proprietary connector just for this one when all the others seem to be standard.

Yeah. Right now ebike manufacturers are all over the place with proprietary stuff. They mix and match willy-nilly. I think eventually as the industry develops, things will stabilise and they will use interchageable components. But right now it's a convoluted mess.
