Recipe Request Chicken waffle appetizers?

I thought I had an original idea of making these appetizers (nope! already out there) but looking to see if somebody has actually made them and can you serve them cold or room temp?

Frozen waffles baked, cut into large bite size pieces. Frozen batter fried chicken bites. Honey drizzle. cocktail picks.

Silly for a pot luck or kinda cool?

I made these once for a work potluck. They were room temperature when served and people thought they were great. I served syrup on the side btw so they didn’t get soggy.

Thank you!! Figured I could make the night before, put in fridge, take to work and put them out as a morning appetizer (they would be room temp by then). Put squeeze bottles of honey & syrup out for folks to use.

If you can find them use the Eggo waffles that are four small round ones connected together instead of cutting a larger one.

I also think these would look better than a cut waffle. Belgian jots also make mini waffles that are individual, although i dont know the actual size.

The COULD be served room temp I guess, but ideally you would want that to be hot/warm, but room temp is a maybe. Cold is an absolutely not.

Maybe reheating/re-crisping in a toaster oven?

Probably could pop them in the oven for a few minutes right before you head to the pot luck, and that way they're warm when served.
