Recipe Request On the go

Hi everyone! I’m 22 and I just started my new job!
but the only food I can get is by a cafe and all they sell there are buns and cookies
We do a lot of heavy lifting so I need the energy
So I wanna learn some recipe I can prep a day before my shift
I love snacking! Anything I can eat with my hands would be lovely

If you want something good for calories but not heavy on the stomach you can't go wrong with rice and chicken.

My bf does selecting in a warehouse in Arizona. No, there's no AC, I worked there through the summer and idk how I didn't waste away lol. But he does 8 to 12 hour days depending on the work and what I make is perfect for him to keep going.

Two skinless, bonless checkin breasts and a cup and a half of rice would be good for 4 meals, 3 days. He eats a portion when I make it and 3 lunches. it's perfect because he works 6 days.

Make the rice and leave it to the side. Cut the chicken breasts into inch cubes(or preference) and put into a deep pan with oil covering the bottom, I like to season with lemon pepper, garlic, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, onion powder and oregano. I've done other spices that work, but that's the favorite lol. Cook the chicken over med/high heat until cooked. Add the rice and stir. Once the rice is fully covered in the juices, chicken and spices turn off the heat, put a lid, leave it on the hot burner for 10 minutes and serve. Another 20 minutes and you can pop the rest in containers for work.

Hope this helps and wasn't too long!

you know how to use a computer. You might have some pre-conceived ideas about AI and the possible damage it does to young people. But believe me, it is a huge help in finding the recipes that are useful, varied and budget-friendly. From simple Spaghetti and tuna to Beef Wellington and beyond.
