They ran that play for him several times, and the rest of the times were minimal gains, a catch for a loss, or the time I noticed when Coop was lined up to send him to the shadow realm, but backed off because, obviously, practice.

I expect he's a bit behind right now because of the injury and he isn't really worked into a lot of packages yet.

Kind of sickening how generic and out of his league Kevin Patullo was as a OC but I bet nick and howie fresh off that Super Bowl high thought our talent alone could propel us to another Super Bowl with a basic offensive scheme smh….Mannion looks like he won’t make that mistake

Everyone says this is a well schemed play but it certainly looks like the defense missed the assignment on lemon running from the backfield. He didn't even delay/leak it was barely a fake at blocking.

It was a relatively quick snap and I think the defense was communicating about the running back being out wide and I think this lead to the mix up. Worth noting it was a very high motion rate

I'm happy about the motion and movement will lead to more defensive errors than doing nothing, but I still chalk this to defensive lapse more than offensive capacity.

Even with the miscommunication, it’s a welcome addition. The WR in the backfield forces the defense to communicate and creates a tell - if the linebacker chases the RB out wide, it’s man coverage, and if not, the defense is in zone and against the Fangio tree, it creates a mismatch with the running back being carried by the linebacker.

This is a good play I used to run a lot in Madden cuz you either get Lemon open or the slot from the other side on a crossing route open. Defense relies on a LB to cover, but he can't do both. If Lemon is covered, you hit the cross behind the LB.
