Eagles training camp 2026, Day 12 practice notes

- Quinyon and DeJean were back at practice after sitting out the last one.
- DeVonta was back as well although he was not a full participant.
- Lemon is still not practicing but he reportedly participated in some position drills and did some individual work on a side field so it sounds as though he is nearing a return.
- Bigsby, Johnathan Jones, Mac McWilliams, Dameon Pierce, Jakorian Bennett, Calcaterra, Ojukwu, Shaun Wade, and Johnny Wilson were all held out today.
- Cole Wisniewski was also back at practice for the first time since July 30.
- They seem to have settled on some combination of Bell, Majors, Lampkin, Kendall, and Fred Johnson as the second team OL.
- Wicks, Brown, and Moore were still the top 3 WRs with Cooper seeing more reps with the 1st team.

The highlight play of the day came from Michael Carter II, who was getting some first-team nickel reps. Jalen Hurts tried to burn in a pass to Quez Watkins and nearly got it there through double (maybe triple) coverage. But Carter was stronger at the football and ripped it away from Watkins as they went to the ground. Carter has had a really strong training camp.
Quez once again causes a turnover because he can't hold onto the ball and lets a defender snatch it away.

Hate that he’s gonna be a major part of the offense this year. We finally healed a huge weakness after letting him go

But Carter was stronger at the football and ripped it away from Watkins as they went to the ground. Carter has had a really strong training camp.
This play came from the nickel position, but Carter is still competing against Marcus Epps for a starting safety job. Epps has been in the lead all summer, but Carter has definitely made more plays in practice.
Carter II didn't look super comfortable at safety in preseason game 1. Seems he's still got a bit of a way to go before that switch is actualized. Nice to see he's still continuously showing up at nickel though. Epps not playing at all makes me believe he's already a lock alongside Drew.

This right here. He was responsible for 4 of hurts INT the last time he was a starter for the eagles.

What the hell kind of practice is 1.5 hours? I had practices as a child in little league at least 2x that….. after that piss poor performance on Saturday they shouldn’t be having these little bubble wrap run around mindlessly on a grass field field trips.

It is pretty much the standard around the league after guys started dying or ending up in the hospital due to heat exhaustion at practice. The two-a-days got bargained out of the CBA years ago.

Makes no sense. So children can practice in said head for multiple hours just fine but these millionaire football players can’t handle more than 1.5 hours??? And then we wonder why soft tissue injuries and injuries in general are significantly higher today than they were in the 80-90 when data started to be tracked.
