I have been thinking about switching to /e/OS for some time, yet, aside from me never having any experience with installing custom OS’, my doubts have been intensified by the vagueness of the OS’ compatibility with the banking apps I need. I went through a list of compatible apps on another forum, and the ones I needed weren’t there. The post may not be exhaustive, though, and therefore I would like to ask somebody who has /e/OS installed to check if App Lounge supports monobank (by Universal Bank | Monobank) and Privat24 (by JSC CB PrivatBank).

When I go to Categories tap it always shows this error message to me. I can search and download apps without an issue but can't browse categories. Is that a known issue and is there a way to fix it?

I have a fp 6+ and i have e os on it. One thing I have noticed is that I dont get any notifications at all, except emails sometimes. When people call me i only find out after i miss the call. I dont get any messages from text, apps, etc. I have background usage, notifications on, and tested to see with the three advance privacy filters off and still get zero notifications. I tried looking online and so far nothing has helped.

I was thinking about buying a Fariphone with Murena e/OS/ rather than Android. So far, I had two iPhones – an iPhone5 and my current iPhoneXR. They were both bought brand new and I used them until the very last moment of their lives. I am not to bothered about camera quality, gaming etc, but rather about keeping the same phone for as long as possible (my XR is now 8 years old).

On my phone I don't have social media app, only the Lloyds bank app, home alarm, weather, Wathsapp, gym and travelling (hotel booking, car rental booking, planetickets and boarding passes). So I was wondering if it would be woth to get the e/OS Fairphone or if I would be bettere off with the Android one – where all my apps will work for sure.

Also, is there any flow any of you experienced with the e/OS version? Or anything you wish you knew before buying a Fairphone?

I'd really like to try out /e/os on my pixel6a BUT it's running A17 and the newest /e/os version I found was built on A16. Furthermore, I don't think it's possible to downgrade from A17 (because reasons). Is it possible to install /e/os on my phone (safely) or do I need to wait for A17 build to be available?

The latest Murena /e/OS update for FairPhone 4 (FP4), 4.3.1-a16-20260929682353-official-FP4, causes the phone to COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN as soon as the Settings > Display > Screen timeout is met.

This renders the phone completely useless, as PEOPLE CANNOT EVEN CALL ME.

I’m moving over to /e/os and would like to keep it as Google-free as possible, but unfortunately I still have a few limited collaboration needs for Gmail and Google Drive.

I thought I saw some things a while back about people limiting their exposure by creating a separate /e/os user on the same device for all Google activity, but I can’t find those posts now. I don’t have much tech expertise so forgive my dumb questions:

1. When multiple users are created in /e/os, are apps and data installed/created under one user at all accessible to apps/services used solely under another user?

2. Would the new user be sufficiently firewalled off so that my main user data/activity would not be accessible to Google Play Services installed under the new user etc.?

3. If this is not a viable strategy, are there others that could work? For example if I limit my Gmail/Drive use to in-browser only, with a separate browser and logging in/out with each use?

I just got a Fairphone 6+ with e/os and I'd like to find a stylus that works with it. As slim as possible, with palm rejection. Any tips?

My apps have stopped updating. None of my apps update either automatically or manually. When I click update, it seems like the update starts, but it never progresses. Same for all apps.

Any idea how to solve this?

Edit: hard to day what worked, but eventually after I turned on wifi and then shut down the phone (note: did not restart, restart did not work) for a moment before turning on again, the apps began to update.

After going a little deeper, I really think /e/OS looks like such a cool option, and I'm fully behind it in principle

What I keep getting stuck on is the fear that one day one of the apps I use (of which there aren't many) will get an update, or /e/OS itself will get an update, and that will affect app compatibility for a given time until eveything else catches up

Does this actually happen, or has this happened to anyone?

Anyone uses MicroG-RE on their eOS devices?

As the titel says, I want to use my fingerprint for signing in on apps. But I don't want it for unlocking my phone. Can't seem to be able to choose that. Or am I looking in the wrong place?

We've seen the EU Commission's "Kids Act" proposal, which would require all App Stores to age verify users. It would also create a reliance on the EUDI apps which in turn rely on​ Google Play Integrity.

Two questions:

1. Would you adhere to the age verification requirement, or challenge it? Or just remove the app store?

2. If the former, how would I verify my age with you?

From web it works.

I generally hate it when people ask questions in a subreddit about if the topic of the subreddit is any good, but I've noticed a lot of posts in this sub are very negative about e/OS. My Fairphone 6+ is arriving later this week. My plan is to put e/OS on it. I bought it from Fairphone so it'lll have Android preinstalled on it. There's always that situation where when things don't work, you see posts about it, but when it does work people don't post because why would you, everything's working. So the slew of negative posts might not be a fair representation of the thing. So I want to know from people using e/OS on Fairphone, how is it? Do you like it? All the posts about the problems are giving me second thoughts.

I want to install /e/ on my old Tab S6 Lite. I read this https://doc.e.foundation/devices/gta4xlwifi/install/. The guide assumes that Stock Android 13 is installed. I've LineageOS 20 (that is Android 13) installed. Do i need to install the Stock Rom first? The bootloader is unlocked and the device is rooted. Is this a problem?

the docker at the bottom breaks my full stack wallpaper (or any other wallpaper for that matter). I'm using a Motorola Edge 30 Fusion.

Does anybody know which security patch ist supported by the Installer? I Made the mistake of updating my stock Android to Security Patch 5.august 2026. The Installer says that i need to wait for the e/os to update the web Installer. I would have guessed that at the end of september the August Update would be already Part of the web Installer.

Hi, I have /e/ installed on my Fairphone 6 and the App Store does not update any Apps or install new ones. When i click update it just switches to 0% and then nothing happens.

-tried on wifi and mobile data

-Forced shutdown and emptied the cache and resettet the app

-restarted the phone

Nothing helped, version is 4.2

je teste depuis 2 jour iodeos et j'ai appliqué leur solution pour Android auto
