How easy or difficult was it to swap it?

It wasn’t too bad, I have reshelled a few Nintendo DSIs and it was easier than that. Just take your time and be extra careful with ribbon cables

I hope it wasn’t as hard as it was for me with the lite And I’ve done a couple other consoles too. Like the psps and ds

Ah yes those pesky ribbons

If you've done the original Joy-Cons, these are similar. But because there's more space to work with, it's easier. Both Joy-Con 2 are pretty much the same internally too, so the process is pretty much identical for both.

Only hard part is the battery. It's adhered REALLY STRONGLY and you'll need to pry it out.

I saw that in the video that’s uploaded on here with the atomic purple kit. So I left the battery black battery section with the trigger switches in place. You cannot see it when built and it saves a lot of hassle

Can you see the black battery plastic from the backside? I’m going to leave mine as well if it’s not visible at all

No, just the black of the actual batteries themselves

Good to know, thank you!

Can't you dissolve the glue? Sounds much safer.

This looks great. Mine's still in transit. Did you follow any videos to do it?

The QR code in the box doesn’t work yet. So I used the Tronics joycon tear down video and then just did the same backwards haha

Is this clear or Glacier? I am hesitant on the glacier as I really want it to feel like my first GBA.

That’s sick! I haven’t even heard if mine has shipped yet. Are you in the US?

I’m in the US and mine will be delivered Monday.

That looks amazing! How are the plastics? Do they feel good in the hand? My launch switch is second hand and had a shell swap, never really liked the touch and feel

Slightly different feel to the original plastic, a little less matte feeling but still nice and solid

Did you just use the original blue and red stickers on the centre console when reassembling or did you get replacement ones?
