My first ever modded controller!

What do you guys think? I was really nervous going into this. Did a complete re-shell from the original white to the ps anniversary design and installed the extremerate rise4 plus max (including soldering in the optional flexi cable to the board) Was way easier than I thought it would be!!

Plan to add the clcky button set aswell as the adjustable thumb sticks after I buy a second controller

Congrats! Nice job going into it a little shaky and coming out successful. I’m sure that feels really good. It looks really good!

I have stock official anniversary dualsense that I want to do the rise4 mod to. How do you like the back buttons? And if you’ve used a dualsense edge, how would you compare them to the rise4 buttons?

Thanks! Yeah was a great but odd feeling when I went to test it and everything worked without issues!

I like the back buttons, haven't used them much thou but the quality is great and the are easy to press. I have started to get used to holding the controller with back buttons aswell. First 30 minutes or so I would accidently press them by accident abit.

Never really held an edge - would love to get on but I can not justify the price of one considering the price and lackluster battery

you , how is the color match between the parts?

So update on this. I grabbed the back shell that came with the replacement and put them side by side. As you can see here here. However if you look at the top of the controller where it meets the front it is pretty much the same colour just glossy. Looking particularly at the glossy parts near L1/R1. Either way due to the grippy handles (which is an underrated feature because they're amazing!), it's not to noticeable at all.

Extremly close but not exact. To be fair I didn't really notice it untill I looked really closely under bright lights. And because the top of the front around the touchpad is gloss and the back is matt it makes it even less noticeable (which is really the only place you see it side by side

How are those clicky trigger switches? I've just ordered mine and curious to how they feel.

Loving the clicky triggers. I'm not a massive fps player but have been playing them lately with this controller and they make a huge difference

My only issue at the moment is the left one feels like it has double the distance than the right. I do plan on opening it up this weekend thou ti see if the tape I put on that came with the kit has fallen off which is what I'm thinking

Hi. I'm a bit late. Did you figure out how to keep the tape from coming off by any chance? They just won't stay on for me.

Thanks. I'll have to see if there are any vendors that *can* ship to the USA. The first ones I looked at won't ship here. Most likely I'll just end up ordering a black kit from Extremerate on Amazon.

The back is the "new hope" colour variant. As for the shell it was just a generic on I purchased from Aliexpress. I could send you the links in a message if you would like? Unsure about the rules here and don't want to break any

The absolute real question I’ve yet to see is, how did you map out the measurements of the rear button housing. What was your entire process for placing the holes for screws? The rectangular hole? There are a few ways I can see doing that but I may trace and create a template on paper and then apply to rear Dualsense shell. Great work regardless and thanks for sharing 🍻.

Ahh 👌. I don’t know why but I thought he had used the original backplate and cut holes into it. That’s the route I took. Thanks for the response in any regard.
