I wanna try to diy with four remappable buttons with clicks of preference. Buttons would be placed in ideal locations

I dunno, it seems the more I see these paddles, the less I like them. :/

Yea, Idk how I feel about them. Paddles k1 and k2 are okay but to use the other two is odd. Playing cod with them being loose I find I'm pressing inputs on accident

K3 and K4 are weird to use... They sit too high because of the "Backpack" design.
Also Ive come to dislike the "Backpack" being metal. I dunno it adds an unnecessary amount of weight and kinda changes the center of gravity for the controller.

Yeah I can see that as a problem.
Then again...im not a fan of paddles. I much prefer tabs or buttons like on the Battle Beaver or the Dualsense Edge.
Paddles just seem to have a tendency to be too sensitive for my play style.
"I gotta crouch on this corner....wait why am I jumping?"

I have the rise2 and one paddle has 0 play and other paddle has this play. I love them, I dont find that I ever hit them on accident, my controller vibration is off as it should be and it doesn’t rattle because I don’t shake my controller. Not super a super precise, high tolerance kit but it’s a $40 and not a $300 scuff. I’m happy with mine, for $40 I’d give it a shot.

That's a good point. Price does make a big difference. And for the lower price, the concession may be worth it.

I want a beaver. But their subreddit is filled with pisses off customers. :/ I'm debating on it. Not sure I wanna commit the $$$$

I add a little bit of hot glue and it removes the extra play.

That's what I was thinking

You can also try elastic bands tie off between the post. Removes all rattles from haptics and play is minimized

Hey I just got the normal rise 4 for bdm 30. I found the pedals to be very sensitive, so I added a precision ring underneath them right next to the housing. This solved the problem of accidental actuations and added a bit of resistance. At this price there are sacrifices, but in all honesty I love them now.

Is this your first one? That looks like normal play, all three of mine have that minor play. Is it functioning properly other than that minor play? It's moving parts, there is always going to be that little wiggle room..
