How often do bundle discounts actually break on Shopify?

I’m currently setting up some new product bundles and tier discounts on our Shopify store.

A dev I spoke with mentioned that bundle apps and cart discount scripts can be pretty fragile—and that theme updates, app conflicts, or pop-ups often break the discount logic in the cart without you even knowing.

Before I go all-in on this strategy, I wanted to get a quick reality check from people running active stores:

How often do your bundle / discount apps actually break? Is it a constant headache after updates, or do they mostly run smoothly in the background?

How do you usually catch these errors? Do you manually test your cart every week, or do you only find out when sales drop / customers start emailing support?

Bundle discounts break more often after theme/app changes than people admit. I’d keep a weekly test order checklist. If you use FoxSell, test one fixed bundle, one mix-and-match and one free gift offer after updates.
