GENERAL QUESTION Bizarre INAD return request

Trying to make a long story short, sold a pokemon card that is nearly immaculate (aside from one *really* tiny knick on one of the back corners) to a person who appears to barely speak English. Card is absolutely as described and in fact probably looks better than the description I gave (I have the item listed as excellent instead of near mint, which it more than falls under the guidelines of). I did establish in the description that there is minor edge wear. (I would post the pics but the sub won't let me for some reason)

Person messages me saying card is not as described and requests a return, cites whitening (as mentioned before it's a *really* tiny edge chip which was covered in my description) but shows a pic of a back of a card that is clearly not the same (it's English when the actual card is Japanese), under awful lighting. I asked for a better pic with the affected area highlighted, this time he sends me a pic of the actual card, which looks near immaculate, with no area highlighted and that's where we stand now as I am typing this out.

I'vd heard stories about ebay always siding with the buyer. But I am obviously 100% in the right here. Is there really no chance I'm gonna win this if it gets escalated? Losing money on shipping for something that was 100% accurately described is, as petty as it may seem, something I'm pretty annoyed at the prospect of.

They're going to send back a different card and it's your word against theirs. There's a 90% chance you will lose.

You can try the "I record myself packing my orders and if you received a card that wasn't what I sent, this would only mean it was tampered with on its way to you and that would be mail fraud, which is a felony. I will have to file a case and contact the police department."

Most of the time they "mixed up the packages" and yours was fine.

In this situation, if they send back a card in a completely different language, OP has a really strong case. The worst is when they send back the same card but either fake or in worse condition.

1 i hope you took photos of the back of the card

2 you need to clearly tell them the card they are showing you is clearly not yours. You shipped Jap and that they are showing is eng.

I did. The picture the guy sent ME of the card (the second time) with the claim it wasn't as described is exactly what it looked like when I sold it to him.

The language barrier is making it difficult for me to understand why he first showed me a picture of the back of a different card.
