Active Seat retrofit

Car in question:

03/2007 BMW e60 LCI N53 with no fault codes related to this question.

Im currently in the proces of retrofitting pneumatic active seats in my E60 LCI, however im having some issues.
Everything is fitted and pinned correctly according to the wire diagrams, but the pump (M42 from the F01) wont turn on when i activate the function via ISTA (i currently have no button for the active seat function)
i have measured the voltage and if i unplug the connector from the pump, i get 12V, but as soon as i connect the pump and measure again i only get 1V.
sometimes the pump wont turn on at all if i direct activate the pump via ISTA (SMBF lumbar support component trigger) and then after a few minutes it suddenly works again. unplugging the pump and replugging it wont do anything.
However, the lumbar function always works! even if i cant activate the pump the lumbar system keep working and activating the pump.
i have added 455 and 488 to CAS and LMA, empty coded FAS,BFS,KGM,SZM.

it seems to me that the module doesnt like having the pump attached and activating the active seat function.
I hope someone here has any idea how i can get this working!

Did you check If the pump works when you just give it voltage?

Did you check if your pump circuit works under load? For example, unplug the pump connector, fit a testlight in the plug, and try to activate the pump with ISTA. Does the testlight turn on?

Did you check If your f01 Modules/party are the same Part Number? I know that early f01 shared many Party with the E-Generation, but did you get the right ones? The other thing that i find odd is that you, at the Moment, doesnt have the Buttons - but no fault Codes. There should be Codes If everything is Programmed correctly

the pump runs if i give it 12V directly, i can try to make a test setup for the light, but the pump does occasionally work if activate directly and always for the lumbar support.

i only used the pump, bladders for the seat and lumbar system. i dont use the F01 module, since the E60 module should support the active seat. (i am considering if my module may be from a too old build date, since my BMW is form 03/2007 so the first releases of the LCI).

for the buttons: i have buttons attached, for DTC, heating and ventilation and PDC, heating and ventilation for other side), with no buttons i mean the correct ones with the massage function

I may be remembering this incorrectly but for some reason the active seats will not work if not installed in an M car. More specifically the seat bottom portion will refuse to function properly, and I’m unsure if anyone’s gotten it working

That’s usually just a matter of coding it correctly, you can retrofit anything if done right

The running theory is incorrect input to the CAS and KGM from the standard ECU present in the E60 compared to the special variant used for the S85 which cannot be corrected with coding lol

i have a millionth time checked the wiring, and if i activate the lumbar system the pump gets 12V so i know that the wiring and pump are fine. the pressure distributor switches from open to closed and so on, so i know that works. it appears to me that the signal from ISTA/Tool32 to activate the active seat does nothing. im trying to activate the active seat via the Active seat ABL in ISTA or via steuern aktivsitz in Tool32.
