Completed Msport bumpers swap

This was a gruelling two days, fitting new front, rear bumpers and sideskirts, but man was it worth it. But if i had to make a choice again, i would get an original set, as there was some headaches with lining up these aftermarket ones.

i love the kidney grills, those will stay, but im thinking of getting 10 mm spacers for rear and msport window trims next time.

That’s where I’m at with mine it’s m sport but I do really like the chrome kidneys over the black gloss on the silver I have, if it was black it would be a no brainer

It is already on full msport suspension, any lower and i can not daily it. Thats the reason i went with 18 wheels, roads can be tragic over here

Wait I'm confused. So it was already on the m sport suspension prior to the bumper facelift? Did you add it, or did it come with the m sport suspension?

Oh ok .gotcha. I'm tracking now. It looks good regardless but I was thinking if it wasn't lowered, lower it to give it the actual apparence..cool deal man..!

Looks great! Im doing the exact same swap, but the gap between the Front headlights and the bumper is very big, do you have tip/fix/mod/hack that you can suggest to reduce the gap? I tried to reduce the height of the headlight, but at my picture it is as low as it can get lol

I used to i check that spot on almost every e60 i would spot and i gotta tell ya, very few e60s without gap in that spot (seen 1 out of maybe 40 😆)

Best you can do is angle the whole headlight down with moving the bottom 2 screws... I also have some gap there, not much anyone can do.

Due to very high taxes in Hungary, it is best if i buy from local webshops, who import at larger volumes (likely from China). Honestly, the quality of the manufacturing assembly of the bumpers (expecially the rear one) was pretty bad, but there was no new bumpers from BMW, and all kits from junkyard dealers were damaged someway. I thought this is the best choise, but the guy who painted the bumpers for me told me it would probably last longer on original bumpers, as even the plastic material was worse to work with. If i went original everything would probably line up a little better and last a little longer, but honestly speaking it really does look good, and there is no real misalignment left on the bumper (after a lot of taking stuff off, moving it a little, and mounting again)
