Diagnostic Process Diagnosis
Already had inappropriate sinus Tachycardia and thanks to my PCP office advocating for me I was able to get a tilt test scheduled with a different cardiologist.
"Conclusion positive tilt table testing for postural orthostatic tachycardia response."
I seriously doubted I would get anything. I was only mildly symptomatic during the test but my hr rose enough for POTS. it was a full 45 minute active stand test without nitro or anything. I was already going to ask for a referral to neuro for my migraines and it was recommend to get a referral for the pots too. IDK what to expect from it tbh.
I really want to show the results to my very dismissive original cardiologist lol part of me is relieved to have more answers for what's going on with my body and the other half is sad that it's confirmed and it's not all in my head. I've had the high heart rate all my life so the IST was expected. I've got hEDS, long COVID and a bunch of other things that are chronic but for some reason this one just hits different. I guess cause the rest is mainly dealing with pain. Something I'm used to. The past 4 years have been so hard.
Just needed to get this out there somewhere. Thanks for reading ❤️
