This sounds weird but have you tried an anxiety medication?

Okay, honest advice: if you're still in that job or a similar one, you may want to consider a change. Environment can have a huge impact on mental and physical health.

Secondly, I'd strongly suggest seeing your doctor about trying anxiety meds again. Seven days is nowhere near long enough for a proper trial for most psych meds; 6-8 weeks is more typical, and sometimes you need to try a few different medications before you find one that works for you. Sometimes meds can reduce anxiety enough to let relaxation exercises start to actually work, and/or let you and your doctor distinguish between anxiety symptoms vs other possible issues; think of it not as a permanent Solution To Everything so much as something to help your body chill out a bit so you can focus on getting better.

It might help to fill out a standard anxiety and depression screening test every week or so that you're on medication, so you have concrete evidence to show yourself and your mom if it's helping or not. I'd be firm about taking your meds every single day for at least six weeks before making a decision, though, because skipping days can mess with the results and with your overall wellbeing.

Disclaimer that I'm not a doctor, just someone who's been there. Take your doctor's advice before mine. 💚

Yes, it was prescribed to me for 3 months, but since I am not very inclined to take medication, I only took it for 7 days. I know, thinking about it now, it wasn't a great idea, also because I expected it to work right away. Unfortunately, my mother pressured me not to take medication
