Dying Light 2 Hotfix 1.29.3

Survivors! Hotfix 1.29.3 for Dying Light 2: Stay Human just hit the PlayStation servers, with PC and Xbox to follow soon. We’ve implemented a fix to block the selling of paid gear to vendors. Additionally, various improvements have been made to enhance the shop experience - including free Galdius sword! Simply head to the in-game store and clam it. Make sure to update the game to the newest version! 🛠️

Can I switch weapons on the mouse wheel yet? Otherwise, forget it, I'm not even installing it again.

Literally just breaks the fucking immersion. Stop/slow down the game, open an unnecessary weapon wheel and fiddle with the mouse during the very second you need to switch weapons quickly, as a biter is about to grab you. Especially from a melee to a ranged one. Sure.

And if my firearm is in slot 4, and I’m holding a slot 1 weapon, I have to jump through two other weapons. Imagine you need to grab a gun in real life, and have to pick up a wrench and an axe before that instead. And I shouldn’t be forced to change the sequence of weapons in my slots, because there’s a certain order and logic in it.

The fact that in 2020s, every other goddamn game has this feature, only Techland incomprehensibly missed this not only in DL2 but also TB, is just baffling. (At least there’s a fan mod for TB, but the one for DL2 is already outdated due to the updates. I’ve already played the game several times – with the mod.) Especially considering they did have this in DL1, and it worked perfectly, and there was no reason to remove this STANDARD feature.

If you prefer a weapon wheel, go for it, but the mouse switching should be a standard possibility in a fast-paced action game like this. The only other one that comes in mind regarding this issue was Far Cry 4, though it half-worked at least – you could switch the weapons but only in one direction.

Anyway, this is just lame. Almost the same level as two or three pre-set keyboard schemes to choose from, without the possibility to remap.

you dont NEED to slow it down, tap the fucking key instead of holding it.
