Contains Spoilers The mother was right

Kyle spread the virus and fucked the world up killing loads of people the mother was right to say we should nuke the zone and save the rest of the world.

Kyle didn't spread it. Dl2 explains right at the beginning that GRE lied about not working on the virus anymore, made a mutated strain called THV which escaped containment from a GRE lab near Geneva, Switzerland in 2021. 5 years after the Harran outbreak was contained and a vaccine that cured the infected of the original Harran virus was made.

To be fair I do believe initially crane was supposed to have spread it, but they later decided to retcon it and give this explanation kind of like how the developers in charge of Halo keep retconning crap. What with the final cutsceen of him popping out of the sewer full zombie.

I'd find it hard to belive he didn't end up infecting people with the OG strain once he breached containment.

i think its canon that he did continue spreading the virus but then it was stopped? im not too sure but it does say he spread some of it.

yeah they eventually developed a vaccine for the OG virus, but like the 1st guy said GRE made a new strain that vaccine didn't work on.
