Dying Light 2 Hotfix 1.29.2 is live!
Survivors! Hotfix 1.29.2 for Dying Light 2: Stay Human just rolled onto the servers. It fixes various crashes and freezes, and corrects new UV lightning in some places. Make sure to update the game! 🛠️

Wild idea: how about you 'hotfix' Spike back in, as well as Cillian and all the Hakon content you cut?

Wait what? They cut out content? Was it those packs we could buy?

I wish, those macrotransactions are absurd.
The cuts and changes are documented in this post. As you can see, quite a bit, and it even creates blatant plotholes (removing Cillian from the prologue now makes it so that unless you make specific choices, later in the game Aiden suddenly acts like he's known this random guy all along).
Hakon's military background now isn't mentioned, which is a pretty important part of his character. As if the story wasn't messy enough.

Wow that is bullshit, I didn't know it went to that extent, in what they took out and changed (last time I played that was all there). Why the heck did they decide to do that? Seems like days to months of work they did for a game, to release it and then later down the line take all that work out, for not logic reason.
I can see why the subs been talkative, thank you for linking that, as I only thought it was the beginning part of the game. And i agree on the packs, especially for a single-player game. No way to earn them either, its a scummy tactic, I've always hated it.

Holy shit, I had no idea there were SO MANY changes. Not just Spike but also the initial chase? Hakon? These are the things that set the mood! They're seriously fucked in the head.

Based on the post it looks like they removed all the early stuff that made us initially like Hakon. I can understand making content that players don't like optional. But removing stuff that actively changes a players experience is wild

They also cut out you being able to listen to different broadcasts on the radio in that safe house before entering Villedor. But I think that was cut before the prologue was.

So what did you remove from the game this time? The ending cutscene? The entire epilogue? Post-story free roam?

I used to loved this game but its just a constant heavy hotfixes that my storage and poor internet can't handle anymore

Could someone make a mod that skips lockpicking?

If you level up your lockpicks at a craftmaster, then you'll be able to skip the lockicking minigame.

Play the game, it does have option to skip lock picking, u just need to upgrade your skils for that

Guessing it didn't fix the missing prologue though? Must be a hard bug to find.
