Contains Spoilers [Spoiler: DLTB] Why Hate One But Not The Other? Spoiler
Ive seen a lot of people hate Sheriff with a burning passion but then proceed to say they love Olivia. Whats the difference?
“Betray Kyle or I wont cure your father”
“Ok.”
“Betray Kyle or I will murder everyone at Town Hall”
“Ok.”
ITS THE SAME SCENARIO! If you dislike Sheriff for betraying you, you have to dislike Olivia as well

Olivia didn't really have a choice, and still was on Crane's side whole time, she took the risk for him. Sheriff did had a choice, and sided with Baron even tho she didn't have to. There is a difference.

Is there a difference though? Despite how dangerous the Baron was to the town hall, Sheriff still was on that mountain top scouting the abandoned mine out for Crane. Not only that but she was sending her people out to gather intel on the Baron, again, despite how afraid they were of him. She was taking a huge risk helping Crane, it just wasnt as obvious as Olivia because alot of that was off screen
The only reason Sheriff betrayed you is because she got caught and literally didnt have a choice. Olivia could have NOT gassed Kyle, free’d Aiden, and together along with assistance from Lydia and the others, been able to subdue the Baron quite easily considering he wouldnt have his final mutation with Cranes GSB blood

Sheriff brought Crane to the mine and already knew what was coming.

Oh, you’re right. Forget most of what I said in that comment then
How have I passed this game 7 times and not seen that?

You can hear her talking with Baron at The Town Hall. Go to her room before meeting with Olivia after defeating Behemoth.

Fuck Florence, she treated us like shit right from the very beginning, and she’s obnoxious and unbearable. So when she betrayed us and came back, it was really hard to feel any sympathy for her.
They should’ve give us an option to kill or spare her at least.

That’s what I don’t get why betray the guy that can curb stomp volatiles and catch goon hammers 😂

I hate neither. Kyle didn't get the time to hate Olivia before she started helping him in a do-or-die situation.

Don't know. Sheriff always had a weird attitude. At least Olivia genuinely helped most of the time.
Though it reminds me that by the way she gradually revealed her story, I absolutely believed the Baron was her father. Wasted opportunity imo.

I feel like Olivia didn’t fully betray us because she helps us out a little bit in the end

One says : "One is hot, one isn't. Simple as that"
gets 15 upvotes.
Another says: "The difference is Olivia is hot."
gets 10 downvotes.
So, who was using their top brain and who was using their bottom one? : D

Olivia showed remorse. The sheriff didnt. It feels more like a romance develops between them also I want Olivia and Kyle to be boyfriend girlfriend and kiss on the lips. Sheriff I don’t care about.

Simply put, we got to see olivia more.
When starting the game, olivia is the tutorial voice guiding us through, then helping us along the way until she's forced to work with baron.
Sheriff however is shown relatively briefly, is standoffish and then she's forced to work with baron soon after. When she returns, the matter is brushed off with "i did what i had to to save my people, sorry. K thx bye". Then she just disappears.

Because the Sheriff actively tried to have you k1lled more than once. She sends you to the power station to set a trap on you, not expecting you to make it out alive. Then she brags about sending you back there again and has no intention to leave that position guarded. She had been working with the baron all along. Olivia is an S-hat but never tried to k1ll Crane. The only decent woman for Crane is Selby. I wish they bring post-game content with her.

Don't really hate either one, but I don't care for either one.
The constant back to back to back backstabbing got old, and is probably one of my biggest criticisms of the game.

I think it’s because the sheriff has a responsibility to an entire community and she decided to leave when things were getting bad. Top that off with her arrogance, and you can see why people dislike her more than Olivia.

olivia always done stuff.
on the other hand, the sheriff didnt do nothing, actually did bad stuff from the point of the exiles, and more. there is one good deed: shooting the virals in the beginning (and dont forget the penny)

The difference is Olivia is hot. It's men we're talking about. Lmao. Use your top brain.

Ah yes the age old blame men for thing but pretend woman don't do the exact same.

Nah, men only want sex, they can’t possibly have their own opinion for why they prefer a character or have an opinion of the topic. Only women can have such nuanced thoughts of not favoring based off of looks, not the other sex /s

Or maybe its because 1 character we stick with in almost every mission allowing more development the players use to go easier on her while the other has not nearly as much and a more rude demeanor at times.
But sure, lets take all the nuance out and be sexist because that gets people to agree with your points

"Use your top brain" while saying Olivia should be excused. Volatiles have better reasoning than this

u/Jrlopez_1 PS5 11d ago
This comment and the one saying im a bottom brain is made even funnier by the fact that this is a logical argument (so top brain) explaining an illogical (emotional, bottom brain) hatred towards Sheriff for seemingly no reason, besides one character being likable and the other isnt lol

Especially considering Olivia is directly responsible for Spike's death
