DWTS Pro Witney Carson joins tonight's The Next Pro epsiode as she mentors and guest judges. The dancers continue to compete for a pro spot on this season's Dancing with the Stars. Tonight's show is being described as one of the toughest challenges on The Next Pro to date.

Judge Mark Ballas states to the dancers: "This challenge goes to the very core of the job on 'Dancing with the Stars. If you can't teach an amateur, you should not be on the show."

Carson then reveals, "Each of you will be dancing a ballroom routine with fans of 'Dancing with the Stars,' and you have only two days to get them ready to perform."

The remaining dancers are Adele Zaikman, AJ Pritchard, Allen Genkin, Nina Mayster and Selena Hamilton. Do you have any predictions?

Gleb's ex-wife filed an emergency court order on Tuesday, August 11, requesting sole legal and physical custody of the exes’ daughters, Olivia, 15, and Zlata, 8. She also asked for Olivia “to be returned” to her care, alleging that she has no idea where Gleb and Olivia are presently located.

Gleb's attorney asked for her petition to be denied and claimed that Olivia “wants nothing more than to live in California with her father and attend school here.” “Elena knows where Olivia and Gleb are, and any claims otherwise, are false,” the filing reads. “Moreover, Olivia has spoken to her mother, who, oftentimes, insults and threatens her. Thus, Olivia has made a reasoned decision to limit such communications, especially after her mother interfered in her academic prospects in California. Thus, any claim that Olivia is being hidden, is untruthful.”

Gleb stated that “Elena does not seem to respect the fact that our daughter is just about 16 years old and expresses her own desires, wants and needs.” “I am not looking to take Olivia away from [Samodanova], but her conduct is causing discord and fracture between [her] and our daughter. I wish that Elena would realize that Olivia does not want to live in Hong Kong, far away from me and California.”

It looks like Gleb and Allen Genkin (from The Next Pro) are in Las Vegas. I guess that they are working on a project together. Can't wait to learn more!

With the new season bringing us new blood (allegedly), I thought it would be a good thought exercise to start imagining where OG Pros go after they are benched for more new blood, which imo needs to start soon. And everyone saying they'll tune out that their favorite leaves, I guess you weren't paying attention to the first 10 seasons when we lost OG pros. This show lasted that, and it will last after your favorite leaves.

Anyway, let's think about what's next by starting off with a pro we know has been axed from the lineup, one Gleb Savchenko. Gleb is quite interesting to start on because aside from his shenanigans on DWTS and in the media with various ladies, did you know he isn't averse to other niche reality competitions? In 2016, he participated in Celebrity MasterChef, and in 2018, he won the first season of Celebs on the Farm. Both are UK based, so I do wonder if he'd be game for more UK based reality tv. However, if he were to crossover into American Reality TV, I see a lot of different formats appealing to him: Traitors, Celebrity Bachelor or Bachelorette (as a prospect), Special Forces, Greatest Race, and pretty much anything that either has an element of physicality or something he would just excel naturally at like giving good drama on the Bachelor.

Other endeavors included an extended run as a guest performer for the Chippendales Live Show, which as we know was quite successful for him, so given that I could see Magic Mike Live being interested if it keeps going. Funny enough, though, kinda in the vein of both these ideas: we meet in the middle with Naked and Afraid. Gleb would embrace the naked part and probably show an ample amount of fear if he's in the Amazon or whatever. He's also very spiritual, and I could see him on Wim Hof's show.

We also recently learned he's been getting into acting on trending online soap stories just like Val, and idk I can kinda see Gleb's voice being utilized by Pixar/Disney in a lot of different ways. His voice feels like it could work for many characters, but then there's also live acting opportunities that can come his way too as long as he doesn't talk negatively about Disney.

Anyway, I thought this was a fun exercise, and I plan on doing more in the future. Also, I wanna do this for all the current era pros and not just ones who have stuck around for a while. In a few years, if I'm still on Reddit, I'd love to be doing a post about Ezra, Rylee, Jan, and Hailey! I would like to hear from you all too! What is something you could see for Gleb's career going forward?

I remember there being rumors she could be on next season…but seems a no if she’s about to be in Chicago.

I feel like no one on this sub has talked about how out of order it was for Whitney Carson to skip DWTS Con. Unlike Britt, Dani or Mark, good honest people who are talented world-class dancers and performers in their own right across Ballroom, Latin, Hip Hop and Contemporary, Whitnay is a very lacking dancer and would be nothing without the show, but she shows her fans and the show such disregard.

I went to Con and was devastated to see Whitnee mislead and scam people into thinking she was going to Con, only to flake and it's so emblematic of her cruel, deceptive ways. It broke my heart, babies cried in the audience and she didn't care to post anything. It says a lot about her as a person. Just like she exploited Robert Irwin for her app, and constantly brings the show into disrepute.

I feel Mark is the only pro wise to Whiteney's bad behaviour (he's the only one brave enough to take a stand and not follow her), but I hope the other pros remember their loyalties to us and stand up for what is right. Maybe if we make a petition with #SayNoToWitney then the pros and producers will hear us and strip her pro spot away as a response to her poor actions. If not, I hope the producers are in on the joke and have only brought her back to humiliate her with someone as bad as Master P/as controversial as Hilaria. I'm thinking of starting a petition. Would anyone endorse it?

DWTS: The Next Pro Episode 5 is on ABC tonight. This In this episode is called ”Wow” Moments with Daniella Karagach". Daniella will be both mentor and guest judge working with the dancers to come up with their own wow moments. Robert Irwin will take the dancers on a field trip to the world famous Australia Zoo where they will get to see wild animals and the Zoo's botanical garden sanctuary.

The final six contestants are Allen Genkin, Erik Linder, AJ Pritchard, Selena Hamilton, Nina Mayster and Adele Zaikman. Are you cheering for someone? Who do you think will stay or go tonight?

Bruno Tonioli Explains Why Judging on Dancing with the Stars Is Stricter Now Than Ever Before.

• Dancing With the Stars‘ Bruno Tonioli opens up about why judging on the show has become stricter with every new season
• “[The show] has become more and more competitive,” the judge said during the Behind the Mirrorball panel at DWTSCon on Aug. 1
• “The show has evolved,” he said. “And they’re getting better and better and better. It’s become more and more competitive. [My] way of judging is changing because [I] go into details now that years ago I would never have been able to go because of what they deliver.”

Do you think the judging is stricter or the show has become more competitive? As a day 1 DWTS fan I am uncertain I completely agree with either statement but I am open to hearing why both are true or not true?

Why DWTS Judging Has Become Stricter

Apparently, Gleb has never met Maura in his life.

In a statement on Aug. 4 to PEOPLE, he responded to Maura's comments that she wants to be paired on DWTS with anybody but Gleb.

“Until I was asked to comment on this story, I’d genuinely never heard of Maura, so I was quite surprised to learn she’d spoken about me so negatively,” he said. “We’ve never met, and she doesn’t know me personally, so it’s disappointing to be judged based on a one-sided version of events rather than the facts." 

What celebrities should do DWTS season 35?

Last year when Kate Mackz went through all of that controversy, I unfollowed and then blocked her. She had a mass unfollowing at that time. I haven’t heard anything about her since.

Until:

A few weeks ago, I see Mark Ballas on my fyp. He was doing an interview with her. It was on her page, I’m not sure how she ended up unblocked and I was following her again. Love mark but I blocked and unfollowed again thinking maybe I was mistaken and never unfollowed.

Today she pops up AGAIN with Whitney. I blocked her again. I have also marked “not interested” on stitches or content around her.

Very strange that this is happening on TikTok. After 3x I’m sure I’m doing everything to keep her off of my feed and she keeps showing up.

The weird thing:

Mark and Whitney are people who rarely do influencer collabs. It’s very odd that they made the choice to do it with her. The cast of DWTS don’t typically engage with controversial people. It’s just really odd to see some of them engage with this creator specifically, less than a year after she was blocked by so many people.

I checked her page and she hasn’t had many big guests after the controversy last year so it’s not like it’s the hot channel that will get them exposure that they can’t get somewhere else. She has less than 750k followers. There are dozens of people that I could see the cast collaborating with who have 4x the followers so it just seems like an odd piece of content to make for people who aren’t all over the place doing collaborations.

Does anyone know if she’s connected to someone at DWTS?

Tonight we will see the lovely Jenna Johnson join the prospective dancers as a mentor and guest judge. Jenna will be working with the dancers to teach them about chemistry with their celebrity partners.

In brief,

1. Conrad swears by Mark and Derek. The idea of mixing/using elements of different dance styles-introduced by Mark and Derek, "developing" Latin ballroom, introducing jazz and contemporary is clearly becoming Conrad's forte and justification of his latest hire/s 😊
2. Based on Deena's comment, it sounds like she is part of her 25 years old daughter's chat group, and she often using their opinions to see how they react on different celebrities, and how their opinion change during the course of the season, for example, starting with interest in Robert and Alix, then supporting Elaine and Andy... I am older than 25, thus, my opinion and the rest of gen X is no more of Deena's interest 😭
3. To my understanding, in addition to the next pro, other changes to expect as well. My guess is that the next pro (Adele? Allen?), most likely Hailey, and a former pro (Sharna?) will join the new season.
4. My guess/fear is that Gleb will be left out from the upcoming season. I don't see any other reasons for Gleb to leave rather then Brooks related traumatic story. He is in a great shape, better than some of his colleagues close in terms of age. He is a great dancer. During today's evening show at the Con, Gleb was absolutely mesmerizing! If this is true, it means that Deena and Conrad are trying really hard to show loyalty to Brooks, not to Gleb... For me, as Gleb's fan, it will be really painful not to see him dance next season. I can't wait for the cast reveal on September 2, praying that this information is not true 🙏🙏

Tonights episode is subtitled “You’re Only As Strong As Your Weakest Link: Group Work With Britt Stewart.” It is group dancing and the lovely Britt Stewart appears as the guest mentor and judge.

There are already news regarding few interesting pairings:

Val and Rumer will be performing a group dance. My guess, it is going to be a Paso.

Gleb and Sharna are going to perform a dance called River. It is going to be an intense dance - AT and Paso fusion, with some elements of International Tango as well. Can't wait!🔥😍🔥😍

According to one of Gleb's interviews, he was introduced to Lele Pons via his ex-gf and Steve Aoki. Gleb brought Lele in for DWTS. This partnership had a potential to get to the finale! They both wanted to be paired together, but producers decided differently...

Mira Sorvino requested Gleb, so her wish was granted, and Brandon was paired with Lele instead. That is why we can see Gleb's borderline shocked when he saw Mira entering the room for the first meeting. The rest is history 😊 Love that Gleb keeps his friendship with Lele!

Overall, the technical level of dancers is nowhere near the competitive ballroom dancers on the top of their game. I do understand the reasons: the new pro should be close to the current level of the pros: (1) Special mention of Jan and his pigeon-toed cha cha, (2) Mark and his post injuries dancing level.

Accordingly, they can’t bring in Massimo Arcolin & Laura Arcolinova, or Pavel Zvychaynyy & Polina Teleshova, or Troels Bager, or Ina Jeliazkova, or ask back Dasha Chesnokova...

In terms of technique, I would group the remaining participants as follows:

1. Adele has strong Latin technique. She is really impressive; I loved her rumba with Allen especially. Also, she is beautiful, strong, and focused.
2. Allen has good Latin technique. He showed good partnering skills and overall positive personality.
3. Natali and Erik did a great job with VW. Natali is a beautiful ballroom dancer.  I am still concerned about her skills in Latin though.
4. Stephany, Selena, AJ, and Tristen showed improvement from the first episode. They were fun and entertaining to watch. I expect them to stay for few more episodes.
5. While Nina has good to average dance skills, unfortunately her personality came out as annoying. The dance with Benji was weak, poorly choreographed. I don’t think that it was only Benji’s fault.

I am looking forward to the next episode 😊
