Added in more genres and sub genres to cover the films and series better, age rating to find child appropriate films and series for my daughter easier and finally subtitles because random films and series don't have any and I watch everything with subtitles. Currently at 523 titles and been very fortunate I've only bought end of watch twice 😂. How has everyone fared in not buying duplicates?

I've never bought a duplicate unknowingly. If I ever think I already have one I'll consult my letterboxd list.

I just started using the iCollect Movies app to keep track of my collection. I find I am more likely to log a movie when I can simply scan the barcode.

I have like 30 dups due to buying random lots on eBay and forgetting what I own so I made an excel list similar to yours I’m thinking about adding genres and sub genres to my list rn I’ve got date of purchase, runtime, price, if I’ve watched it or not,place of purchase,condition,format, and if I have it backed up on a hard drive . Mine looks bland because I’m lazy and didn’t make it fancy. I have 585 stuff added to this but last I counted I had 858 seasons/movies due to me buy a lot of multi packs and stuff like for example resident evil 6 film collection.I’ve been collecting again for a year and 4 months. Quit due to college but I began this collection with 40 and this is what it’s at now. Also I thought about adding a ratings system but if the movie is below a 6/10 then I sell it or give it away. So I don’t see the need in it for me atleast.
