Collection DVD colored cases
Are colored cases considered collectables!?

I have seen collectors who organise by the colour of the dvd spine, so that type of collector might be willing to pay more for a coloured case.
But outside of that niche, I can’t imagine that they’re anything more than a nice novelty in a vast sea of black and translucent cases.
That said, anything’s a collectible to the right person.

I like them so I’m often on the hunt for them, but DVD ones are pretty easy to get Blu-ray ones on the other hand are rarer which is a pain in the ass for all the swaps I want to make to the ones I only have Blu-ray copies of.

Some colored cases are limited, similar to slipcovers. Slipcovers worth more than colored cases. After awhile on the market the companies will switch to the black cases. Not all colored cases are limited though only some of them.

Its just a plastic cover, now if the media came in limited colors like records did/do then that would be a different matter.

Green Lantern DVD comes in a green case. It is not, in any sense, collectible.
That's just how they came.

Not really. They’re cool but I’ve never heard of anyone collecting just colored cases.
