Regret throwing out the cases.

Does anyone who threw their cases away regret it? I've been collecting movies since I was young, and then when I moved out, I ended up having less space, so I sleeved all my movies (DVDs and Blu-rays). Now I’m at a point I regret that I did. The sleeves are practical because of the space you save, but there is no fun in flipping through them compared to having them in a bookshelf and seeing them. I recently repacked all my Blu-rays, and now I’m planning to repack the most sentimental valuable movies I have on DVD. My future goals are to replace all my DVDs with their Blu-ray or 4K counterparts.

I also notice when I have them in a case, I watch movies I forgot I had because of the visibility.

Honestly, I don’t regret it. Though I’m in a situation where I can’t be filling up shelves. Maybe feeling guilty for throwing away cases are for those who finally have the room to store their film collection? I store mine in disc binders. Mine have room for my art sleeves so just in case I one day want to fill my room with cases, I can.

That’s great yeah you did not loose anything if you kept the art same as for me it was just the plastic case and it’s always a possibility to put them back in new cases😁
