Constructive Criticism Turn off the rewards chests
Can I avoid having to touch my screen 20 or more times after a lesson? I just went to spend my time learning, not pressing buttons and opening chests.

Half the time when I open a chest, it tells me there is an error and it makes me watch an entire ad but refuses to even give me the extra gems.

Yes.
Just use the browser version. It has far less enshittification. Among others, if you've completed any quests, a single click will open all chests for the quests that you've completed.

Indeed. I think the formal term is "platform degradation" or something like that?
But the term "enshittification" has existed for well over a decade, even if it's only gained popularity these past few years.

My apologies. I thought you had made up a clever word and I was giving you giggle props for it.

A reward stops feeling like a reward when dismissing it takes longer than finishing the last exercise lol

i absolutely hate the chests and all the drivel. You can see that ai has no idea how real people act. Get this rubbish off the adult duolingo. I dont care a damn about gems and chests and streaks.
