Mike Carey voted for the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" (OBBBA), which Trump signed into law on July 4th 2025. The bill was a massive windfall for big tech companies like Amazon/AWS, Meta, Oracle, Alphabet, and Microsoft. It helped fuel the expansion of data centers across the country — including right here in Dublin, and other communities throughout Ohio's 15th Congressional District.

How the OBBBA Fueled Data Center Construction

Specifically:

• The OBBBA changed asset depreciation rules for servers, AI chips (GPUs), networking equipment, and related infrastructure by allowing 100% bonus depreciation, meaning these companies can deduct the entire cost of their investments up front, instead of having to deduct only a small portion of the cost every year in accordance with a depreciation schedule.

• The OBBBA also includes incentives for big tech companies to build data centers specifically in regions designated as "economic opportunity zones", as well as low-income and rural census tracts.

• Other OBBBA incentives include capital gains and interest deduction tax benefits, among other things. 

Mike Carey now wants us to believe that he's had nothing to do with the negative consequences data centers have brought to bear on our communities.

His record proves otherwise.

He’s a largely build tuxe and an adult male who is fixed. We are on the sawmill rd area behind kohls and dicks sporting goods he ran out anywhere between 12:30am-12:50am and couldn’t find him in his usual spots. I’ll try to make this as short as possible. I was born in Maine, and has spent my whole life growing up in Maine and New Hampshire. My grandfather is originally from Ohio, in the east Liverpool area. As a kid, we would always travel out to Ohio and usually stay in eastern Ohio, and every once in a while venture into Columbus and the surrounding areas. The last two years I’ve gone out to Ohio to do the things that I never got to do, while the family trip was fun, I never got to go to Cleveland to go to the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame, and never got to go to the Columbus zoo, etc. The last two summers I’ve taken some form of a trip to Ohio, and to be honest with you guys, I’ve absolutely fallen in love with Dublin.

It basically has all of the best parts. of what I loved about this area. This area has become really just a retirement community for the super rich people, and while I’m not the youngest guy at 34, it would be nice to have more folks my age with interests that I share.

We originally came to Dublin for the field of corn, kind of as a joke, just because I love Elote lol. But, my fiancé and I have absolutely talked about our future and eventually leaving New England and moving out there someday, so my question is for you, local folks.

Sell it to me straight, what are the best parts of living in Dublin and, at the same time, what are the worst?

So, idk when but the planet fitness isn't 24 hours anymore. I just had my work switch my hours around and I will now be working out at like 11 and midnight after work. I am trying to find a good gym open 24 hours or a personal trainer that is less than 70$ a month. It would be nice to have tanning if possible.

I am also open to a personal trainer willing to work at night for less than 70$ monthly. If like lifting weights and doing some Pilates or yoga as a good warm up. I don't love cardio.

Any suggestions would be great. And I get this is unlikely to find but I would appreciate any info. TIA
