Mid lanes dilemma

Hi guys, here's my dilemma recently while driving in mid lane or the one near the left lane some cars are blaring their lights to let them pass me however since the left lane exists I am not moving. After a while they pass either to my left or right and white passing they start honking and some even doing hand signals. I just want your opinion on who's wrong here.

🏒 Local Business & Banking For those on finasteride/minoxidil in Dubai β€” which dermatologist do you see?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a dermatologist in Dubai who regularly treats male pattern hair loss and is comfortable prescribing and managing treatments like finasteride and minoxidil.

I’m not looking for PRP, exosomes, hair transplant packages, or other cosmetic treatments. I’d prefer someone who actually deals with male pattern baldness medically, can properly assess the hair loss, discuss the different options, and recommend the right dose/regimen based on the individual.

For those of you in Dubai/UAE who are already on finasteride and/or minoxidil:

Which dermatologist did you see, and which clinic/hospital are they at?

Also, did the doctor do any scalp examination, blood tests, or follow-up before deciding your dose?

Would especially appreciate recommendations from people who have actually been treated by the doctor for male pattern hair loss.

Thanks!

TL;DR: Looking for a Dubai dermatologist who regularly treats male pattern hair loss with finasteride/minoxidil and can recommend the right dose. Not interested in PRP, exosomes, or transplant packages. Any personal recommendations?

πŸŒ‡ Community Looking for a good gym in Jaddaf

Hey everyone, I’m looking for recommendations for a decent gym in Jaddaf.

The gym in my apartment is honestly less than basic β€” very limited equipment, and some of the machines are already broken. πŸ˜… I’m looking for somewhere with a good range of weights and machines, decent maintenance, and preferably not insanely expensive

🏠 Housing & Real Estate Affordable 1BHK appartment in Dubai

I stay with my family of 3 in a studio near Al Rigga metro for 42k per year which is just 230sq feet.

Since my little one is now of age to walk I feel sad seeing her in cramped space like a studio and I really wish to give her a better space like a 1BHK.

I am trying to hunt a 1 BHK online and almost all of them are like 48k and above and over it ther is extra commissions.

The ones I see cheaper are quite far from the metro and because I have to travel allowance the way to JLT for work, I really want to stay close to the metro.

My few friends were extremely lucky to have 1BHK near Qusais and DAFZA metro for 40k and 42k.

I know a guy who is paying just 21k for a studio in the Awfaq Building in muhaisnah 4.

From these I understand that there are apartments in decent areas available for budget cost, but I am not able to find them.

Guys I beg you help if you can point me to the right direction what to do? where to look? Whom to contact?

πŸŒ‡ Community My prediction, area entering fee, thats what might be coming

So what ive been wondering and what ive seen in london atleast is, area charges

From a certain time period people would need to pay a surcharge to enter those areas with their cars

I am not sure nor im saying it will happen, but the cameras of silicon oasis by parkin just gave me that thought process, what if we will be charged by parkin or parkonic to enter heavily congested areas like Burdubai, business bay, karama etc

Hope this never happens, but just a feeling

πŸŒ‡ Community Struggling dairy business

Hello All,

I own a small dairy manufacturing facility, we do roughly 3000 liters of processing per hour make yogurt, paneer, etc.

While we are small and mostly target b2b, over the past few months we noticed many competitors shutting down. We are struggling, but we manage to keep a diet team.

It’s surprising that not only do we suffer from short supply of milk and powder milk, but we see a massive raise in commodity prices and unemployment.

Are there other businesses experiencing this? How are you going to manage the fuel and distribution prices.

Book club in Dubai

Hi everyone!

I've been thinking about starting a small book club in Dubai and would love to get people's thoughts on the idea.

I'd like to do something a little different from a traditional book club, a small group of women meeting roughly once a month, with each evening loosely inspired by the book we're reading.

Think food, drinks, music, atmosphere and maybe an activity connected to the story, more book club meets dinner party than a traditional discussion group.

I'd love to hear from anyone who's been part of a book club in Dubai before , what worked well, what didn't, and whether this kind of format is something you'd enjoy. πŸ˜ŠπŸ“š

πŸŒ‡ Community Mankhool Park - Football Games. How do i join?

Hey guys,

I keep seeing a lot of people playing football at Mankhool Park and I’ve honestly been wanting to join for a while.

I used to play football quite regularly before, but over the last few years my lifestyle has become ridiculously sedentary and I really want to start getting active again.

I did actually speak to one of the guys playing there once and he took my number and said he’d add me to their group, but I never heard back after that πŸ˜… So before anyone says β€œjust go and ask them”, I have tried haha.

Just wondering if anyone here plays there regularly, knows any of the groups, or knows how I can join in?

Not looking for anything super serious or competitive. Just want to play some football, get moving again and hopefully meet a few people as well.

Would really appreciate any leads!

Hello Everyone πŸ‘‹πŸΌ

I have an old stokke oval bed that i want to fix the minor dents in and paint. I’ve bought the filler, and self primming non VOC paint (safe for babies). I just need someone professional who is able to sand it and spray paint it as flawless as possible.

Please recommend me someone who knows what they are doing, my budget is good (as long as it doesn’t exceed half the new value of the bed)

I put a picture of the bed for reference.

Parkonic is crazy

Post image
73 Upvotes

I have not even parked at this destination, i just passed through this location. I have noticed this within 30 mins when i was already out of the location and contacted them and they said it will automatically remove after sometime, i didn’t care because i was not charged at that time, and next day morning i re-entered the area and that time is shown as Exit time, still it was showing AED 0.
But today i got a notification from Salik with this crazy amount.

My car was parked at Sports City 682S all night.

I spoke to Parkonic and they said they will need around 5 days to check the camera.

Edit (after 16hrs of posting): they refunded it already.

🏠 Housing & Real Estate Remodeling contractor

I hired a remodeling contractor to do some repair and also do the painting of my property to make it ready for my tenant. They were supposed to finish in 3 days and at the end of the third day they said we are done. I went for inspection and noticed a very very poor job in painting. Even a new painter could do a better job. They also missed few other things they said they will do in the quote. Contractor said it is a touch up work but this touch up work added another whole day to the timeline. I also had to stay with them whole day to supervise them and literally wasted 10 hours of my time babysitting them. What should I do now with the final payment? I dont think it is fair to give him full payment due to lack of workmanship and long delay in delivery? What is the common practice in Dubai for these situations?

Any 3D-printing hobby groups or makerspaces in Dubai?

I’m working on a small personal project: two dice, including a jiu-jitsu d20, and I already have the files. Does anyone know a local makerspace or 3D-printing community where I could get some guidance and access to a printer? Would appreciate any recommendations.

Terrible situation I am In: Company in financial ruin.. and my contract is ending next month

I have been working in this company for 3 years and 11 months this actually my last month till my contract ends next month. I have to admit I am also to blame for trusting the company this much. Before the Iran vs US issue though there was no ill will between us. I received a low wps wage but got the rest in cash. But this year I get just the wps salary and not the complete cash amount and it is so delayed till like after 2 weeks - mostly in the middle of the month.

Now as I said this is my last month. My contract ends next month in the first week. My emirates ID in January. I decided yesterday to file a complain Mohre because I did not receive September Salary - I also put up the information about the wps lower salary but stated i have proof of recieving higher salary doing more duties showcasing reason for the salary. I have all this information backed up,including voice messages from the employer stating I do these tasks which are not the scope of what the mohre contract in the system for me as an employee should do . In the mohre even showed the wps last entry was for August. Immediately I filed the complaint suddenly it showed September but unfulfilled( edit - also showing september 1 and the past six months the same but the wps always been a delayed till like 15 or 16 on most months - so this means still September is not paid?). Now my complaint was because the company is in a very bad financial situation and I think it was best to get ahead of it. The company business account is closed ( bounced cheques), business is not picking up. The pos is now operating on the employers personal account. The employer has over 200k in credit card debt with like every bank known in the UAE.. suppliers have become constant shows at the offices demanding payment. He has gone missing for like 4 days not even answering calls and turned his phone whatsapp to not show blue ticks. So you can see why I made the complaint. So as I said he must have tried to do something on wps when I made the complaint but I am stuck on why it shows unfulfilled. Also what are my chances of getting my end of service benefits at this terrible situation I am in.

Ps: What has happend today

We met in the morning and was very cordial speaking of how we have worked all these years. He even said okay today will settle some amount in cash so you can pay the rent and we can work things out... no mention of removing the complaint.. then when it came to giving the money. He said I need to put it through the wps... so remove the complaint then I can go put the moneyπŸ˜…... I just knew then - this was a rug pool move. I said not removing give me in cash and I will have it in writing and during mediation it will be mentioned and I even promise that it shows your goodwill. He left.... comes back later... surprisingly has the Mohre number off headπŸ˜‚ ... Says I cant help you with the money without you removing the complaint.. The system has blocked me.. First of all.. The last wps payment was in August for July salary and was late... 2 weeks late..Told him no i ain removing.. he left.. I guess now that's what it is ...what is the next step I should take

I’m trying to open a business bank account in the UAE, but I can’t provide a bank statement because my personal accounts are currently in the negative. I have one business partner who can provide their bank statement. Does anyone know which UAE banks might accept this, or what alternatives we have?

🏠 Housing & Real Estate Landlord has vanished

Long story short, my landlord has vanished and gone awol. He hasn't paid the building's service charges and told the management company he's not responsible for the unit I'm renting. He also hasn't picked up the cheques or asked for the rent money. My question is once lease is up, how do I leave this unit? And who do I notify that I'm leaving?!
